possible sunroof issues?
We have a cadillac srx with a sunroof. never used it. Apparently, there are drain lines that have perhaps gotten plugged, and the water is somehow getting into the back where the spare tire would be; and where the power module and actuator is for the liftback. Looks to be quite an issue now, since we have cold temps and water is essentially frozen. PITA.
********** Now I know in the back of the CAMARO's trunk, there are a couple modules in the bottom. I'm wondering if the CAMARO could have the same issue. Anyone? What would it entail to fix it if it leaks? I haven't used the sunroof in the camaro either. Does that weather seal around the edge need replacing every so often? |

I have the same issue had 1,5 inches of Water in the trunk last week. Have an appointment on 26 and taking it to the dealer for repair. That socks as in the camaro there is the amp for the bose and the rear fuse box. Will keep you posted.

I figured one was for fuses. If that gets soaked, it'll be bad news.
Did your car act screwy, or throw any codes? Our Caddy (2013 as well) has a "non-lifting hatchback" but thankfully it doesn't seem to have any other probs. |

Yes the Camaro also have this problem. Either with the sun roof drain hose which runs on the right side of the trunk or with the cable which got squeezed between trunk lid and trunk.

What's the remedy? Locate this so called drain line, and blow it out with compressed air?
Frankly, I don't care much for the sunroof anyhow. Just stuck with it because it was already on the vehicle. |
