May Incentives

Historically, does anyone remember what kind of incentives Chevy has done in the month of May?

Thank you

Historically doesnt really apply, the incentives and rebates vary year to year depending on several variable factors.

My last salesman told me they have seen them drop in days, because some even get specific to zip codes. Not sure how accurate that is, but thats what he said.

Ever since people got 20% off in 2016 everyone’s been waiting for that deal again. Chevy has supply and demand figured out. Great Rebates aren’t coming back anytime soon.

I was looking last week, they were doing 20% off all Cruze models, and had some truck incentives as well.

It would not surprise me at all to see the 20% on '18 Camaro and Malibu late summer or fall as these cars were refreshed for '19 and will be hitting the lots around that time.

Gm wont release the incentives to the dealer until literally a day or so before they start.

That may be the way to go. I found a 2SS with MSRP of 49,670 for 43k. I'm trying to see if they go under 40 lol

If there's a 20% off again it will be at the end of this year to make room for the 19s. They need to do something, camaro sales are not looking good at all.

They have done something. They cut production last year and canceled a shift at the plant. GM has a new way of doing business and that is to minimize incentives as much as possible by only producing the amount of cars needed to meet demand. They couldn't care less if the Charger and Mustang outsell the Camaro, as long as they are maximizing profits by limiting fleet sales and retail incentives. The stock owners are grinning from ear to ear, as even though new car deliveries are off substantially on nearly all models, profits are way up. I myself wouldn't expect any large incentives on any new Camaro, regardless that there is a refresh coming in the fall. Sadly, if we do see any type of large incentives they will more than likely come in the way of qualifying rebates along the lines of the conquest rebate we saw in March. As for May incentives, history tells us that the spring and summer months are sports car selling season, so traditionally they are the worst months for the buyer to cash in on a great deal.

There are over 18000 2018 models sitting on dealer lots right now with more in transit. Camaro sales have been very weak and there is a new 2019 model coming. Big incentives are coming no doubt.

That's exactly what everyone thought last fall too
