Fifth gen price drop

Is it fair to say that the fifth gen camaros will suffer a large price drop in the next year? Id love to be able to get into a 2ss from 2012 for around 22,000 just wondering if this would happen

I wouldn't expect a huge drop in the prices of used Gen 5's. I would expect some great deals on the 2015's still sitting on lots in November.

don't expect any actual "price drop", that would require GM to reprint window stickers and send them out to us dealers... you can expect for rebates to increase but not until the 6th has hit the ground and be out for a few months

I bet you will see a small (drop) impact in the used car market but not until they (2016's) are out on the streets.

I have already seen Gen 5 camaros drop a couple thousand around me. It's hard to not buy a used ZL1 while waiting for GM to release more info/pricing on Gen 6.

Here you go....

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chevrolet-Ca...m=281720749949

Just Kidding. But if no frame damage it looks fixable.

I think when the CA6es start flowing there will be lots of trade-ins. Dealers will be low balling the 5th gens so some traderiners will be looking for a slightly better price than offered by dealer. But you still have to figure sales tax into the equation.

I can't believe the insurance company viewed that as a full loss.

Anyone think it would be possible to pickup a 2013-2014 1LE used for 30k and under when the new gen rolls out? I figure alot of people will be trading in to get the 6th gen, might be a good opportunity to pickup a 1LE

I would think you could find a 2013 for under $30k now with a little searching.

You can only stack 1 "private offer" item on a deal. All the others should stack. Also see if you have access to supplier pricing. Not all items stack with supplier pricing. Mix and match for the best deal.

Forget the "offers", if you just negotiate a price from the start the "offers" will fall into line with the price you and the dealer agree you'll pay.

There might not be an official "price drop", but you can certainly get a better deal now in your negotiations. Start even lower than you originally were going to. Own the negotiations from the beginning. If the sticker on an SS you like is $37k offer the dealer $31k out the door including TTL, dealer/doc fees, and temp tag and walk if you can't get it for $34k out the door.
