ZL1 LT4 Oil Pump Replacement---Chicago area???

So, in my search for a ZL1 I have come across a couple good deals on low mile 2017-2018 ZL1's... If I go with an early ZL1 I'd like to replace the OEM oil pump with a Katech pump. My question is, does anyone know of a reputable shop that they'd recommend in the Chicago area? Does anyone know if Katech might even do the installation? I don't think I'd trust any dealers to install an aftermarket pump, and don't want to go back to OEM if I'm going to go through all the trouble of replacement. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Well worth having the Car transported to them, if you decide on purchasing one . There are a few shops that rate A+ , and from prior costumers comments/reviews , they are in the group of a few .

I'm sure a shop will be able to give you a better price estimate, but it was from my understanding that if you are going to do the oil pump, you might as well do the cam while they are in there.

Are you considering Nickey? They’re just outside Chicago and another A+ forum rating. Just throwing it out there. GL

Exactly, the labor to do the oil pump is at least 75% or more of that of doing a cam, lifters, DoD delete, etc. Might as well upgrade while you are paying for the oil pump labor...

Ok. Thats what I thought. Idk what the price difference is, but im sure the "savings" is more from the labor.
