As I understand it, all cars GM makes now with an automatic transmission come standard with remote start. If they’ve changed the configuration options for Camaro SS 1LE packages to be able to option them with an automatic (Auto was previously unavailable with 1LE package) it will automatically come with remote start.

The build tool is just buggy/not updated correctly. I have a prelim order written up for a 10a 1le 2SS and "BTV: remote vehicle starter system" is listed.

Sounds like a mistake. It doesn't make sense that it doesn't come with remote start. All other gen 6 Automatic come with remote start. Double check with GM to put your mind at ease lol.

After comparing the 2SS with the 1SS, I may go with the 1SS instead. My credit is in the toilet and saving $5k would probably be the wise decision. It seems that the biggest things I would be missing would be the heated/ventilated seats, bose stereo, and some other small items that I don't think I can justify the extra money as the 1LE package adds plenty of niceties.

I think I am going to have to put down $15k to 20k to get approved for a loan.

Opinions?

Are you planning to track the car? If not, I would skip the 1LE package and get a 2SS with Dual Mode Exhaust and a few other options...

For your reference, I ordered a 2020 2SS back in November with 7 options:

- A10 Transmission ($1,595)
- Magnetic Ride Control ($1,695)
- NPP Dual Mode Exhaust ($995)
- Black Carbon Flash 5 Spoke Wheels ($300)
- Red Brake Calipers ($395)
- Black Camaro Fender Badge ($145)
- Footwell Lighting ($395)

Sticker was $48,515, I paid $44,500... But I ordered it (I knew I would pay more than buying a car off the lot, but I wanted what I wanted)...

If you dropped the MRC, Footwell Lighting, Red Calipers and the Black Camaro badges and you could get a nice 2SS for under $42k...

If you are going to track it, go for the 1LE package...

Im with Greg, You are going to get raped on your interest rate with bad credit. I would hang on to that ion for a little longer and work on that credit score. I was able to snag 2.9% on a 66 month term through gm financial. That was with 800 score and zero down AND they made my first 3 payments, lol. Financing a new car with poor credit is just giving your cash away to the lender..

And 2nd question, do you think it would be possible to remove the recaro seats for the standard leather seats?
It's just an error in the system right now. The same thing happens on our order system. It auto corrects when I hit submit though. It does come with remote start.

1LE Automatic Remote Start

I have a 2021 1SS/ 1LE Automatic, with remote start. With the 1LE auto you get the 2.85 rear gear out of the ZL1. I had a 2020 1SS auto, and the rear gear difference is notable. Good luck on your journey! My 2 cents is you should go 1SS/1LE!

My question is why would the remote start be deleted in the 1LE unless it was a M6 and not the A10. Very strange.
I thought the 1LE SS was available with a 10 speed auto in 2020?

Some of the extras really aren't needed. I never use my heated seats unless I'm trying to keep food warm or something LOL. I do use the cooling seats if I'm headed out on a date to....stay fresh. Houston heat problems and all.

The Bose is cool and all, but the bass rattles the hell out of my door. I'd much rather listen to the exhaust note anyway.

You can always refinance it later if you get a shit rate now, you just better be damn sure you can manage it. I will say as someone who moved up from a 04 Camry. The power and handling gets very addicting. My monthly gas and insurance combined are probably more than my car note haha.
