Thank you! But I should’ve mentioned that I got it professionally powdercoated by a shop, although I wish I knew how to do it myself

I need some help obtaining the larger gray Hood Decal, part #23280412. I ordered one from Courtesy Chevrolet in Phonix AZ. when it arrived it was in a large box but folded into five sections and put into a 6"x18" plastic bag leaving deep creases in the decal. I went to a professional installer and he said he thought 2 of the creases would show once installed so I sent it back. I then tried ordering through Tasca like BZSS did but they replied the Decal is back ordered and not showing a date for restock. I had the same result from GMparts direct and 2 other GM suppliers. So obviously this part is not available from GM. I went to a body shop and they also could not find a source either but he said he could paint the stripe on and match the Decal. I am leery of that and would rather find a decal. I am replacing the decal because I tried to remove an etched bird dropping mark with a buffer and it left the decal shiny which I don't like because it looks just like the rest of the painted hood. Anybody out there know of a source that may have the part in stock instead of going to GM or any other options?

Anyone debadge the rear bowtie on the Fifty? I have a hunch that the rear black decal would be dirty / damaged under it. I was thinking of going gloss black bowtie boarder (the normally chrome piece) and matte black interior. Anyone that made the switch to a black bowtie think it's feasible to do it without a badge at all without the double-sided tape under it doing damage or leaving a stain mark?

Yes, I did it when the car was about 1.5 years old maybe 7,500 mi and there was no issue. Wrap was not discolored, I liked it so much I left the back badge off all together. I was changing all my bowties to black but liked the rear without. You cant even tell there was ever anything on the wrap.

Follow this kid on You Tube. I actually met him and he is a good guy. He absolutely loves his FIFTY and does all his own work. He motivates and encourages along the way. I wish I had his energy. Some dedicated FIFTY owners might disagree with the removal of the stripes like myself but even without the spoiler the car looks great.

I debadged my trunk aswell and you it was a PITA to remove the gooey residue, but once cleaned it looked awesome without it, so i left it like that. Your vinyl underneath should look perfect once cleaned 👍🏼

Thanks. Looks like I finally found the Hood decal. Being shipped from GM Parts Overstock. It took buying from 5 different GM parts suppliers until I found one that had it in stock. I would purchase the decal only to be informed "the item you ordered is out of stock and GM does not have a date when it will be available". Yea!

Our Camaro Club did a cider mill run today. I made it to two of the three area cider mills. About 20 Camaros and a Z06. I made it to the first two but had to tag out on the third one.
