My best 1/4 earlier in the week was a 12.3 on dirty Texas rds but also ending up slightly uphill turning ever so slightly left. However, that 12.3 had a 4.6 sec 0-60 time, so in theory, assuming 58-63 degrees, on clean asphalt, it could do an 11.9. However, my 2019 Shock 2SS A10 did a 12.2 1/4 mile on same spot, BUT it also had best ever 0-60 in 4.2 seconds. Anybody that wishes to challenge my next statement should seriously check out my three YouTube Channels, I have the racing discipline and background, as well as being a math and physics prodigy. ANYONE getting high 3s to 4.0 in manual, has either got smaller diameter tires (e.g. 19s) making it actually 0-57.8 mph OR they're spinning last 5-10 mph, giving a REAL 0-60 time, BUT their car isn't going the same 60 mph their rubber is. I can assure you, I used up my OEM 305/30/20 Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3's up in under 3,200 miles here in Texas. And that guy in desert with 96 degrees and cold road, I'm sorry but at that temp, his engine has lost a good 50 rwhp. However, that cold temp road is also probably spinning his tires up too. Ideal road to air ratio happens at 58-63 degrees Fahrenheit. Any colder, engine GAINS power, tires lose stiction. Any warmer, engine loses power, tires GAIN stiction, and increases frictional forces overall. At Ennis, in 104 degrees, on a prepared track, in roll racing I did 10.3 sec 1/4 mile at 113 mph, in dig racing I did 13.1 sec 1/4 mile at same 113 mph. 0-60 was 5.1 sec with 60 ft time of 1.833, and onboard was matching in time. I did several 0-60 runs on roads, on way home, and 5.1-5.3 seconds were all I could muster, and 13.0-13.5 1/4 mile times. Physics will ALWAYS prevail, and my rwhp with Factory CAI is 413 at 61 degrees. Which means best 1/4 could be 11.9 seconds, but my 0-60 will be 4.2 seconds unless I spin up towards the end. Nobody is going to beat Randy Probst on 0-60 times, period. UNLESS you got great asphalt in Death Valley, on perfect temp day?! Then it's possible to get better then 4.2 seconds with M6

My youtube channels Fox Schaffer Fox Schaffer 10-ball Fox Schaffer Golf
I've gotten 4.2 and 4.3 in my 1le several times, never gotten more than 4.8/4.9 even with crappy launches and a pasanger. Randy Pobst has gotten 4.0 if I remember correctly, but that was with Motortrend in California probably with 91 gas (could be wrong). Road and Track as well as Car and Driver have gotten 3.9 with their 1le's. They're all using a 1 foot rollout so in reality those numbers are probably all .2 slower.

Your auto ss and ss 1le times are interesting. The auto is quite a bit faster to 60 but the manual seems to be closing the gap quite a bit by the 1/4.

Now that it’s cooling off, I’ve gotten 5.8 seconds on my stock I4 automatic.

Can’t touch the SS numbers obviously, but for a $24,000 car I can’t complain

Got 4.2 first shot with my 2020 ss 1le. I would like to shave a little off of that.

Just went to the drag strip yesterday

6.2 seconds
2.0L turbo M6.
14.200 seconds 1/4mile

It was my third time only to even drag race so I consider this good.

Bone stock 2018 A8 V6. My best was 5.2 with 5.4-5.6 being the average in good conditions

A8 SS car.

4.2s 0-60 bone stock on stock run flats

4.0s 0-60 basic bolt-on's, e85, run flats

3.5s 0-60 & 7.8s 0-100 Bolt-on's, e85, Nitto 305-35-20 555r

3.1s 0-60 & 6.5s 0-100. Whipple, bolt-on's, e60, 305-35-20 555r(tread past the wear bars).

Times verified with a dragy...so no tom foolery. With the performance page it uses wheel speed. M6 cars are notorious for getting some wheel spin on the 1-2 especially on the stock tires which skews the number. I even had it happen on my A8 with Torque management disabled on the trans. It shifted 1-2, broke the tires loose, and hit a 3.8 on stock run flats. I knew it wasn't a clean run.

Does the best time get saved only when you have the convenience and lighting package? Cause on mine it doesn't seem to keep track of the best time.

That's the problem with so much HP and just RWD- balanced throttle application to get traction when starting off the line.

I don't know what my V6 with lesser HP will do but I don't have the wheelspin problem. With the 10" wide wheels and LSD it hooks up goes. I just mash it and rev it to near red line.

I doubt it on the street...my 3.1 0-60 was a 1.8 60ft street pull. I could potentially see some 1.6 60fts with a fresh tire on the street but I doubt 1.49 is doable. Maybe with some glue.

2017 2SS Convertible A8 0-60 in 4.2 yesterday. Performance mode let the car shift itself with 79 degrees 60% 20' above sea level. Michelin Pilot Sport tires at 35lbs. Very little wheel spin. Stock, no performance upgrades. Pretty good for the extra weight of the vert.
