How many miles are on the car? What gear did you run in?
I ran mine on a dynojet which is typically a little higher than others and only got 386rwhp. 400miles and in 6th gear. |

I asked about this. They said 6th gear is too long of a pull and they said I could even do 4th. They calibrate the dyno to the car by measuring the tire diameter and then run the car at 3000 rpms to calibrate the dyno to the car. So they claim it doesn't matter which gear. I'm just repeating what they told me. I went with 5th because the final combined gear ratio is the closest to a manual transmission in 4th (1:1). This seems to be the general consensus around here IMO. They have done 3 camaros that I know of at the monthly Cars and Coffee this year. 2016 manual 417/412 - member here and I was present. 2017 auto 436/433 - brand new pace car convertible and is currently sitting on the showroom floor. They did this one right after I left last month. 2017 auto 422/427 - myself After my dyno the manager came to me and said they just did a 2017 Manual that did almost 470 after headers, CAI and a tune.

That is a very generous dyno and shows why trying to compare #'s from different shops is almost useless. Some people get 386 on a Mustang, someone gets 402 on a Dynojet, etc....

The SAE Certification alone shows just how inconsistent dynos are

Ignore AFR and boost. Nothing was hooked up to the car to record them.

I'd go find a nice Mustang Dyno and get that done...at least then the numbers will be more real-world realistic.

Assuming 10 percent drive train loss.
430x.9=386 455x.9=410 470x.9=423

6th is 1:1, and it does 193 on the dyno. 5th will of course give a higher number, and as other said, take dyno numbers with a grain of salt. Either way, congrats on the purchase.

Man those are great dyno numbers , Id like to see how much the car traps In the 1/4 to see how that rwhp translates into speed.

You have an automatic, 10% loss is for a manual. I think the A8 is more like 15-17%. Plus, as another said below, your dyno operator should have used 6th gear and may have also put in the wrong final drive ratio. Congrats on that sheet of paper, but it is highly inaccurate.
