GM parts vendor with cheap shipping

Hey guys, a month or so back someone posted about an online OEM parts vendor with dramatically cheaper shipping rates. Try as I might, I've not been able to find his post. Can anyone help?
I'm looking for the felt insulation piece that goes under the hood, mine got torn up when I had a serpentine belt fly apart at 6k or so rpm. Gmpartsdirect wants 44 bucks for the part, $252 for shipping!!

That's it, but I'll be damned if they apparently don't carry the hood felt piece. The same schematic comes up as on gmpartsdirect, except there's a circle with a diagonal line thru it instead of the price for the felt piece! Guess I'll check with my dealer.

The reason it costs that much to ship is because they have to ship it flat in the box and that’s a very large box. Go to the local Chevy dealer and order one thru the parts department and you shouldn’t have to pay for the shipping just the part and tax.

Yeah, I'm going to give that a try. I'll bet the part is significantly more expensive, but certainly not $250 more!

As an example, best price I could find on the NPP rear exhaust panel was $225, but with over $200 shipping, but my local Chevy dealer will sell it for $300, with no shipping charges.

Shipping is something of a mystery to me. I bought a set of zl1 takeoff wheels with tires from a guy in California. Shipping to Georgia was $170. Those were four big, heavy boxes. The felt hood piece couldn't weigh over a pound or two.
