His kit seems to kill two birds with one stone (better fuel delivery with much less heat production) if I understand it correctly. I was searching for E85 stations local to me today. Harder than it sounds in Atlanta. Just because a station has offered it before doesn't mean they'll consistently have it. Also lots of tension lately. Literally feel like I'm going to get robbed/attacked every time I stop for gas after dark nowadays.

I have to drive about 25 miles to get E85. I think we may already be on winter blend, I noticed on my HP Tuners Ethanol content is was lower then just a week ago. I may buy a drum of C85 next year and make sure my E is always at least 70% for consistent passes at the track.

Wow
That's a good idea. Crazy this fuel is so much better for engines but rarely readily available

Been adding stations out here pretty regularly. Have one that I drive past everyday to work that consistently tests at 80-85%. Hopefully won't change as winter arrives.

You take a mileage hit but the significantly lower price vs 93 still makes it slightly cheaper to run cost vs mileage.

The LPE DI pump will extend that a bit further. You could likely run 10psi on E60 with Big gulp, LT5 TB, Headers...etc. I could run E78 with 8psi pulley, cat deletes, standard rotofab, LT5 TB. The Big Gulp and smaller pulley required dropping back to around E60. It's pretty easy to mix. 10 gallons of E78 + 5gallons of 93 = E56. E55-60 seems to be the sweet spot from what I have seen. It is basically 90% the gains of E85 but a bit less demanding of the fuel system. Mike's PI setup looks to be a nice solution. Will allow the ability to run full pump E. That extra E content likely will be more beneficial in higher boost applications.

Another useful datapoint in the FI debate would be the weight increase for each option. I know that i can certainty feel the extra weight of my 2300 Maggie, and i would think that it's one of the lighter PD options.

So the Maggie 2300 is about 58 lbs, then you have around 20 lbs of hose, LTr (heat exchanger), then about 10 lbs of coolant. You take off about 20 plus lbs of stock stuff for the swap. So just a tad under 70 lbs. Then the 2650 is 22 lbs heavier then the 2300. The benefit out weighs the additional pounds. You add headers and not cats you'll save over 40lbs if they are 304 stainless and you can save another 20 lbs of the front if you run the BMR tubular motor mounts. The stock mounts are very heavy since the the lower mounts are hydraulic fluid filled. It gives you lots of room around the engine also, loved mine. They do add a little vibration but if you also have a decent cam you may not notice it. It does make it stiffer, my Camaro was pretty ridged since it had the cage and the motor mounts. Didn't affect the launch it would still pull the front tires on a well prepped track and cut 1.35 60ft times.

Again thanks for sharing knowledge you've had to acquire with experience. At this time I am looking for a fueling solution that allows me to run E85 and a few more psi. I'll be happy with 600+whp but dynos don't always give the best representation of how fast a car is. The bolt ons are effective but they can really start to add up You've made some really interesting points about E85 the last few weeks. Car runs more efficiently and cooler. I remember Pray talking about how much cleaner the inside of engines were that ran E85 compared to pump 91/93. It seems like aftermarket is really coming around for the Gen V. Like when HPtuners became available for the LS1 in early 2000's it was a game changer. If this new Port Injection can eliminate having to open the engine to do Cam, Pistons, etc and make over 700whp reliably...it's a big deal. Last few years I felt like my car was maxed out unless I wanted to put alot more $ into it. These latest innovations are getting me excited again lol

Hopefully e85 stations will continue to proliferate. I currently transport three five gallon jugs of e60 (inside the car, i don't typically trailer) to every track day where e85 isn't available close by, which is everywhere i go except for Road Atlanta and NCM. Probably not the safest practice in the world, but I've gotta keep things cool!
