annual dif fluid

2018 ss 1LE

performed the ole yearly dif fluid swap. this particular fluid was in service from 23k miles to 32k miles. i change it every spring. street miles and some general horseplay, no road course. seems to be about the same amount of junk on the magnet every year. i can't imagine letting it go 45k miles. this is the latest:

Once you do it the first time you realize how easy it is to do, going to add this to my spring maintenance schedule since I already did it once last year

Good post especially for those who don’t consider the yearly swap. Like you, it’s on my list of annual fluid swaps. I also do my trans fluid every year.

Make sure to stick with the oem fluid. Other brands have caused the diff to whine due to not having enough of the slip modifier. Part number is 10-4034

Doing mine this weekend, 31k and I'm not sure if it has ever been done as I bought the car with 13k on it. I'll post something up.

Probably a good idea to just make it part of yearly maintenance.
