LS3 seal install. Dry, wet?
Hey guys probably a dumb question I’ve always put a little oil on mains when installing. But these seals are not your traditional SBC seals… and I don’t want to have to do this twice lol.
What’s the GM factory procedure? I believe it’s install seal into cover dry and wipe a little oil around inner lip along with oil on the outside damper hub? Sound right?

I haven't done this myself, but the manual apparently specifies dry for the front and never mentions lubrication for the rear.

Thanks Airpad! Now here’s a curveball that’s the install for a LT1 seal, is it the same for LS3? (dry)
By the instructions above it’s completely dry, not even oil on the hub.

Pretty sure the Install procedure is the same on LS and LT crank seals. I have installed the LS seals dry with no issues.
