Not bad. My best 40-110 last year was 5.08 in 500da and 5.29 in 1749DA.

So we are off by about 1.2 seconds in the 40-110. Hopefully its enough to dip into the 10's in the 1/4 mi.

I appreciate the response. It helps to have a frame of reference. I think you were running low to mid 10s in the 1/4?

Mid 10's on the street with a 1.8 60ft. Never have taken to a prepped track with a drag pack.

Mid 10's with a 1.8 60 foot is very impressive. You said before your engine was stock... do you have an aftermarket cam or that stock as well?

All stock...here is the run. Second gear launch.

It's at the limits of this wheel tire combo for launches. I was actually able to 60ft a little better(1.75) on the bigger pulley(3.375). It wants to break loose as it rolls out even from second gear, but it still is a little quicker and higher trap with the 3.25 pulley.

I am curious to see what it gains this fall since I upgraded injectors. Back to E60 vs E40 and another degree of timing. Log data shows it's making more power. Probably will just spin more but oh well.

Nice. I can still blitz the tires in a 2nd gear launch too with the converter. NT555R2s have been ordered. I've found starting in 2nd and manually shifting the A8 and hitting proper shift points to be difficult because of how laggy the A8 is. I have to "request" the shift really early, because it will execute the shift a half second later.

Had a B&M shift kit on a TH350 on an older car with a ratchet shifter and that thing would insta-shift when requested. Spool valves and direct hydraulic action, lol. I don't like all the drive by wire stuff. I get why manufacturers do it, but I can really feel the disconnection.

I don't have to manually shift in manual mode. It's tuned to hold gear and still shift on it's own @ WOT.

Same here. And that’s what you need to do in order to launch in second gear and still make the rest of the shifts automatically.

Do you have the stick in TUTD mode for this, or do you just "tune out" 1st gear in normal mode?

Stick in TUTD mode. Upshift to 2nd when you are stopped at the line. Launch away! No need to touch the shifter again.

Got a much better 40-110 with the DRs. Im still feathering it in slightly at the start, but loads better.

Prev best was 6.49. So about a whole second faster.
