Hello from a fairly new member.

I've been lurking for several months and just recently signed up. I have posted numerous times but figured it would be a good idea to say hello and introduce myself.

I'm a self confessed Camaro-holic. I love this car regardless of the generation. My first Camaro was a 1967 coupe, red with black rally stripes that I bought for $2,000 in 1984. 327 under the hood with a Powerglide transmission. It's so odd to only shift one time. Anyway, I didn't even have the car 24 hours before I broke my left leg. Femur... *SNAP!* right in half. Biggest bone in the human body and I snapped it like a dry twig. So, three months later I was able to drive my car thanks to a fairly new surgery. There was a rod inserted in the bone to hold the two pieces together. I had the first, and only $100,000 leg in high school! Seven years to the day, I sold that car and bought an '88 Beretta GT. Had the "burrito" for a while then traded it for a brand new '99 Navy Blue Metallic V6 complete with t-tops and dual outlet exhaust. Loved that car. My mother bought a '93 Z-28 brand new that never made it off the truck. She saw it still on the delivery truck, pointed at it and said, "I'll take that one!" Now she drives an '01 Camaro SS that looks exactly like this one: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13480 except her wheels are polished. Well, the ones in this thread might just be dirty. I can't tell honestly. Same exhaust even.

As far as a 2010 Camaro in my future goes. Not just yet. I need to pay off my current car first which still has about 17 months or so left on the contract. The wife knows I'm going to have one it's just a matter of when to pull the trigger. I just hope the "market adjustments" go away when I get ready to buy.

So, hello all. Catch y'all on the boards.

Hey everyone, I wanted the New Camaro for a very long time. However, this August I purchased a 2009 black (ebony) w/ dark grey stripes (alloy). I think the rear end of the 2010 are hideous (just my opinion) I am very Happy with my purchase and the car brings a smile on my face every time I drive it. I am not really a "Ford guy" the only cars I really like are the Mustang and Ford GT. My brother has a Jeep SRT8 which is a bunch of fun. I love anything basically fast or performance oriented. I do love the new Camaro and if they make the Z28 we will definitely be picking one up. If they don't make the Z28 we are probably going to purchase a C6 Zo6 so either way we can't lose.
