Faulty tires
I can't seem to get traction in first or second gear. Is anyone else having these issues?

If you gas it the car will spin the tires regardless of traction control. 1st and 2nd gear can be tricky... The stock tires are okay, but softer rubber will help, but I doubt it will solve it completely. So much torque!!!!!

But the word you guys are looking for is torque, not horsepower. |

Once you warm up the tires, they are much better actually and CAN handle the massive low end torque LT1 produces. I can see (theoretically) using wider tires would be "better" but Chevy did do their research and decided to stick with what they did. I would assume if the next camaro has the LT4, they will go 315/335 in the rears.
Having the alpha platform is a gift and a curse lol. So much lighter platform and LT1 in it just makes it a gift and a curse but hey... Everything has an easy fix. To warm up the tires, you don't need to do a burnout like you do before a strip launch... Just drive it for a couple minutes, like a normal person and straight line is just fine. Turns and gas is a whole other ball game though haha but oversteer is just too damn much fun not to do |
