Unfortunate to hear. On my old SS it was so bad. On my LT1 theres none in square, wanted to stagger.

So its a dynamic of staggered, wider fitments? Here in LA on the freeways at speed it sucks, sketchy.

No they did not, it was the dealership… all they gave me was a receipt.

That makes me feel a bit better but it still sucks. I’m going to see if they can align it better.

I'd think they would have set it up to factory specs since it was a GM dealership unless you told them to set it up for track use. I'd bet its just the wider tires but I would still see if they have a copy of the alignment so you can compare if it ever needs it again or if you start to see abnormal tire wear. I should be saved under you VIN number at the dealership.

I don't experience much if any tramlining with either wide wheel+tire combos I've been running recently, the common element between them being PS4S tires. I'm sure the tires themselves play a significant role in this, not just their widths.

Are the factory alignment specs the same for all models regardless of what sized wheels/tires are on it? Or do the bigger/wider tires require a different alignment.

Yep, I had a set of 1LE-style wheels with the 285-f and 305-r SC3 tires, and they definitely tramlined noticeably more than the 245-f and 275-r PS4S tires that I normally ran.

Question, I know the LT1 came with a square set up and you changed to a staggered set up. Did you have any issues with traction control or any of the nanny controls on the car by doing that? I would like to change my 2LTRS to a staggered SS set up for track days but am unsure of the drawbacks.

Even if you did, you just have to get the car retuned for the staggered setup to my knowledge.

So might be worth doing if you have any planned upgrades that require tuning?

they tramline, its part of having 285s in the front in general, my regular ss tramlined a little bit with the stocks, on 1le size tires it tramlined like the 1le I have now weather I have the street or track alignment

Notice you're from MI, ever go to Gingerman? Did 4 days last year plan on at least 4 or 6 this year.
