glad i could help, i used Fermin, but i assume anyone there would be decent to order from. I am not sure he would make money though, unless he made money on a trade in, but he has a temp tag on it. so he would have to have either gotten a GM employee or supplier discount to actually make money after Tax Tag Title, but using that requires you to keep it for 6 months. Still odd though, posting a Camaro with a markup in a thread that largely talked about where to get them without a markup.

anyone get a new orange car delivered yet? I ordered my zle in June last year, and still no sign of the car. Dealership says it is probably because of the color? Any thoughts on that?

I haven't taken delivery of my Vivid Orange Metallic ZLE however it was built last week on 1/31/22 and I hope to take delivery this month. I haven't seen any ZLE's this new color yet but delays reportedly were not color specific, they were 1LE package component issues. Still no PDR available on Camaros but they built a number of ZL1's with the 1LE package. I've seen one VOM pictured at a dealership on YouTube and now 3 Rapid Blue ZLE's. Patiently waiting to start my build on my 6th gen Camaro!

Comes with an illuminated luxury "door handle", too (okay, fluorescent, but isn't that the same for a kiddo)

Yes, there is no way of slicing it, it is still an auto and you will not get the same level of engagement that you only can get from a manual. That said, this is not your typical automatic. It rips through the gears and is always in the sweet spot. It is also quite playful for an auto. You tap the accelerator to the floor real quick and it goes into performance shift mode and holds gears and keeps the RPM up while it downshifts. I have to say it is pretty entertaining for an auto. Another thing to consider is the tall gearing of the manual in the ZL1. If you like to wind out the gears you are going to need some room since 1st gear in the M6 is good for 60mph. That was one of the big reasons I went with the A10 in the ZL1. The gearing in the ZL1 M6 is so tall you can't really wind out the gears on the street unless you short shift all the time. Granted, with so much torque it will pull pretty good in just about any gear. Compare this to the really low gear ratios of a Mazda Miata and you can wind out 3rd at 7500 rpm and still not risk jail time. Yes, there are days I would like to row the gears but the A10 is the better option 90% of the time for the type of driving I do on the street.
