Still don't like it, front end is a mess and those tail lights look out of place.

That’s what happens when the design department uses its best ideas on the original version of a car and has to scramble for BandAids when the marketing department wants a refresh 3 years later. Look back through history - the original styling of a model is almost always the best, and the refreshed versions look like new parts have just been tacked on.

The black plastic surrounds on the ‘19 Camaro tailights look like they’re filling the same holes as the taillights on the ‘16-‘18 models, even though the tops of the bumpers on the ‘19s have been dimpled. I wonder if the taillights are interchangeable?

The tail lights look bulky and make the rear look fat. Might look better in person.

Chevy will need to now offer some really exciting colors and and graphic packages to help enhance the styling flaws of the rear and grill.

Beautiful car behind the poor color choice and hideous drop top. Front is definitely growing on me, love the tail lights. Would like to see a white exterior with satin black wheels and black blade spoiler.

Like the old story. When I was drunk at the bar and picked her up she was pretty. The next morning when I was sober and it time to leave she was lying on my arm. It was wake her up or chew off my arm. Was glad to chew off my arm and leave. Sorry, this SS is ugly and I have owned Chevys since my first vehicle, a 65 El Camino when I was 15 years old in 1970. BTW- JMO and this story is fiction! SS refresh is real unfortunately.

Detailed view of the new 2019 Camaro SS Convertible's controversial front end
People were a little harsh with the jeering. But then I lost any sympathy for the presenter when he said "guys, it's a preproduction model." Sure, but it's not as if the design of the car is going to change in the few weeks before production lines will likely start.

If the Camaro team is a fan of Minions, I think that explains a lot tbh...

Anyone else tired of the bashing from the 2017-2018 owners? I get it entirely, its the same every new release, the previous year owners are giving every attempt and going out of there way in every sense just to make themselves feel better. Its old, deal with it fellas. Facts.

Not a 6th gen owner and I don't like the '19 refresh at all. In fact, GM is in a major styling crisis going into 2019 with this debacle and the new 1/2 tons (absolutely gross). Add the crappy Blazer FWD based crossover and all that's left from GM that looks decent is the Corvette.

Sincerely, a GM owner for 25 years...

I bought my ‘18 after seeing the ‘19 preproduction Camaros, which have no appreciable performance advantage and are not as pleasing to the eye as the original 6th Generation Camaros. If the ‘19s were better in any way that mattered to me, I would have waited. Sorry I didn't check with you first, but I made a fully informed decision - and the right choice.

I know a lot more than just 17 and 18 Camaro owners that cant stand the 19 SS's ugly face.

Does GM want the Camaro to Fail?
