On paper. I am sure the speed restrictor will be able to be tuned out.

But of course, but Ford didn't do it. So then it would not be OEM compared to OEM.

Longest gestation period of most cars. LFA is king of wait, wait, and wait but then wait more. This GT 500 is getting to this is ridiculous already. Release the damn thing already.

At least the LFA and arguably NSX were worth it once you got it...
I'd wager a hefty sum the ZL1 1LE will be unbeaten by the GT500 no matter how hard they try, heck the regular ZL1 might stave it off as well. On top of that, the GT500 may end up only being marginally faster in a straight line anyways. Starting to not look good for the GT500 if it gets hard to get...You can buy any ZL1 you want right now for good prices. |

Just watch... when the GT500 hits showrooms it will sell for double what you can get a ZL1 for today. |

Neither situation is ideal for consumers, but I won't pay ADM and I hold onto my cars for a long time. Most of the time, paying ADM is like flushing money down the toilet.

If the GT500 has an MSRP similar to the ~$73K ZL1 1LE, it'll be interesting. The Demon was $85k, but very unique with 840 HP, 9 sec 1/4, wheelies, etc. Making very high HP, and great handling, cars at this price point has changed the game with the Europeans. US companies seem to be competing now for who has the most, for the least.
If Ford sells this car for over $80k MSRP, they may have a problem. |

Sorry for the stupid question, but does the ZL1 have a speed governor ? And if so, what is it limited at ?
Thanx |

I thought about having this car join the stable, until I realized, its basically a 350 with a different crank, a few other minor different parts and aero with a supercharger slapped on...I could buy a slightly used 350r, bless it with a supercharger and be in the same ballpark as the GT500 for considerable less money, albeit without a warranty, but who really cares about a warranty after awhile if at all. No thank you to the ADM i sure will be present on this car for some time to come, and no thank you to a car that has not really been transformed from its predecessor......at least not enough of a change for a 90k+ loan
