2 trips 8 hours one way to the dragon. 2 trips up to northern MI (4 hours) 1 trip South to Lexington. Was a rough summer. Tried to find myself. I somewhat did.

LOVE BEND!!!

I lived there when I was in High School. I recently went back and stopped by Crater Lake , then stayed in Bend. It has grown up A LOT since I lived there. Pilot Butte Drive-In still has the best burgers around!!. They have a ton of breweries there now and they went all roundabout crazy, lol.

I rented a 4WD though when I went because there was still lots of snow, but I would love to take that drive in the 1LE in the summer months.

In November, I drove from Tampa, to Omaha, then to Michigan, and back to Tampa. It was awesome!

Agreed.
I'm thinking a rear seat delete tastefully done would make travel WAY more storage friendly. I think I may start doing my research. Good winter project.

I installed a rear seat delete kit in the old car (Mustang) for that very reason, and it worked well. When I got the Camaro, I built my own panels to get rid of the rear seat. The large flat area is great - there is even room for a big cooler back there, along with other stuff. Well worth the effort for usable space on road trips.

No real long trips this year after two great runs to Camaro Fest in '17 and '18. One run from central Texas down to the Gulf coast near Corpus Christi and a few trips to east Texas to visit one of our daughters and her family. All of these trips are about 500+ miles round trip. I hope to do better next year.

Took my '18 1LE (mild build 510 rwhp) on a nice road trip last Sept. 24 to Oct.5 4550 miles. I went from home (just south of Boston, MA) to Asheville, NC (920 miles one day) visited Biltmore Mansion on Wednesday morning, then Tail of the Dragon (awesome and I had no traffic) to Tennessee overnight. Thursday AM to St. Louis, MO for NHRA drags at Gateway with friends, fun times. Left St. Louis Monday 5 AM to Naples, FL arrived 10:45 PM (1223 mi 17 3/4 hrs). Friday 4 PM Naples to home 1520 mi. (one 6 hr. overnight stop in SC).
Great road trip, great car comfortable, smooth, 23.5 mpg and zero tickets!

hotlap: I did indeed...car trekked without me on its ocean/car transporter voyage. Surprisingly, not a scratch on it! Now it sits dormant with the rotten German weather raging.

Fresh tires/brakes and a blower will hopefully make for more excitement next year.

We went with our Camaro club from Buffalo to Frederick Md for the Camaro Nationals car show. Took first in my class and we had a blast! Spent 3 days there and then continued on down to Fontana Village NC to do the Tail of The Dragon. Spent 4 days there doing the Dragon and many of the epic roads and sight seeing in the area. Then headed back home to Buffalo driving the Blue Ridge Parkway part of the way back! It was a fun filled and scenic road trip in an excellent grand touring, show winning, canyon carving, awesome Camaro! Next years road trip will be back to the Dragon then on to Bowling Green for Camaro Fest X!

My trip from Raleigh, NC to Charleston, SC back in May does not sound very impressive compared to some of the others listed here.

But I was extremely impressed to be getting 22mpg on I-95 at an avg speed of 90mph.

Who would have thought a 650hp ZL1 could get that kind of mileage.

Probably won't make this particular trip again though... The drivers in Charleston were the worst I have ever seen at running red lights. I almost got hit 3 times in 2 days while sitting at a red light.

Crap, what the hell happened to that pic? It isn't 90 degrees off on my computer...

I was curious what a Z would get. My 2018 manual SS with the cruise set at 85-90 gets 28mpg. After doing a few 500 mile runs (straight through) it's stayed pretty consistent.. If i keep it set at 70-75 without stops, l get 31. I can't go that slow so I'm happy with 28.

Is your mileage considered on the low side?
