Bedding in the Brakes

Let me say that for the most part, I was pretty compliant with my break-in routine till ~1,400 miles. Yes there were a few slip ups, but nothing that I would consider to be excessive. My 14 mile round trip commute with a top end of 45MPH and lots of LEOs dictates a moderate driving style.

At ~500 miles I did 10 near stops from ~45MPH down to ~10MPH. I could only do 3 before I would turn around and head in the other direction. This section of street did not lend itself to 60MPH stops.

Now at about ~1,600 miles and NOLA looming next Saturday, I felt I needed to spend a bit more time bedding in the brakes. I started with 14 - ~45MPH - ~10MPH 40% engaged stops. I could do 3 or 4 and then needed to turn around and head back the other way. After my last 45MPH set, I rolled out the length of the street, put in and let things set for about 15 mins. I then engaged in 10 - ~60MPH - ~15MPH 70% stops. I was able to do 3 and then turn around. I did my final roll-stop and then let it coast down to the end. I turned around, rolled back and let things be for about 15 minutes. I did a couple of launches and called it a night.

I am hoping to get some feedback on whether I need to bed these brakes a bit more or I should be OK for NOLA.

with these steel brakes, you will be fine. Carbon Ceramics take a more exaggerated procedure.

I put on new Carbotech XP-12 pads and bedded them in the next day at the track. Stock, I had my first track day at ~300 miles. Car has always run like a champ. I wouldn't worry about it.
