E60 would be a reachable target DI, I just know how much it is worth in terms of HP at my boost level 7 to 10 PSI....

I'm not sure how much hp increase you will gain over a 93 tune with e60. Will vary depending on mods. I know guys who are running N/A going from 93 to e85 are making pretty significant jumps in HP.

There is a benefit to dual inject, the valves should be cleaner.

For me looking at it, I think I was just fixated on E85 because I already have done the conversion. I'm completely happy with my current setup and may never go to a pulley bigger than 4.5 on my D1X (7 PSI). The car is traction limited to about 80 MPH of so. It would be interesting to put the LT4 stuff on and inch up to see how much more HP the car will do with E60 or E85 on 7 PSI. I don't know, Ted any ideas?

All the money I save I can sell my ported MSD and go to a Goetz intake, just becuase it is such eye candy...
The cleaner valves can also be achieved with simple water injection and is the only real benefit of adding port injection vs direct injection.

I would recommend the fuel system upgrades and see where it takes you.

It is almost comical reading some of the comments of how people feel the fuel system is the least important when in fact it is the most important part of any build.

It takes fuel to make power first and foremost before any other mods.

Spend your money on the fuel system I know it is not as glamorous as purchasing a supercharger or NOS system etc but it is the foundation on which all power package should be built.

Ted.

What all will I need to have enough fuel to run e85 and about 700 rwhp?

Given I will be on e85 and have full exhaust, cai etc I might not need as much boost to get there as stock im guessing. But I know e85 requirrs about 30 % more fuel.

Big bore lt4 fuel pump and lt4 injectors do it? car will have stock cam so no extra fuel lobe on the cam to help either.

thanks a lot. want to get my ducks in order and get a rough cost estimate before I decide on FI or heads cam.

I stand on the fence with this constantly!!

First off don't waste your time with all the BIG BORE LT4 anything. 42AUTOSPORTS has a AUXILARY fuel system to go right along with your ported MSD. with 1000cc injectors and stock LT1 fuel system it will supply enough fuel for around 1000whp on 100% e85. By the time you add up all the LT4 stuff, low side, meth, cam kit could have the aux system and have the fuel to handle waaaaaaay more power on 100% E85. But your still gonna end up in the 10-15k range.

If your goal is 9's then procharger is the way to go hands down. cheaper, way easier to install and proven to have run 8's in a 6th gen. D1X would be my choice.

Heads/cam/stall would be cheaper all the way around for sure. Nothing boost related will be cheaper especially on E85. Could do anything nitrous. a complete kit done right with stand alone is around 3k. You will be at the max your stock fuel system on 100% e85 HEADS/CAM with a mean setup like PRAYS.

A big stroker will end up setting you back between 10-15k also. I have a buddy at TSP so I have priced it all. 416 up to a resleeved 427. More then likely LT4 fuel will be required at that point depending on how aggressive you go. Prays H/C are making 580-590whp through the A8. Cant imagine what he would do with a 427.

Thanks...couldn't pass it up for the price. BNIB and It came with(on top of what the full kit includes) new NGK IX7 plugs, 2 gallons of coolant, ZL1 addon lift pucks, flywheel tool, balancer tool, and HP tuners(which I don't need).

That’s awesome looking forward to your results

Are you planning on e85? What’s your plan for fueling etc?

Yea the car is on E85 now...don't really want to give it up. I am just going to buy the LT4 stuff more then likely. If I need a little more, I might just spray some Meth for cleaning, cooling, and a little extra fueling. Not in any hurry, might be a winter project. I just wanted to jump on the setup since it was a really good deal.

Looks like FIC injector has a set of high flow units for 440.00 that flow 30% more then the LT4's. I wonder how much power those with a LPE big bore pump would support on E85.

440.00 per injector or 3520.00 for a set.
