Hence the value tanking. 5th Gen Z/28 all over again.

If these numbers are correct, they are pretty close to the total number of '14 and '15 Z/28's made. I believe that still makes for a pretty small production number for the ZLE. For it's price point, the enjoyment factor I get from it, based on it's overall performance, as well as the constant attention it draws wherever I go, I still feel it was a good value. Any day of the week, a ton better than an overpriced and ADM GT350R, IMO. I probably won't live long enough to have it be a true collectable, but I will certainly enjoy it for what it is. 3,700 miles of great times so far, in one year of ownership. Still really glad I got it. JJ

Is there a letter/documentation from GM that you could share?

I would love to have more info to chew on. % of transmissions (excluding the 1LE because we know what it comes with), sunroof and PDR just to name a few.
Perhaps even make it a sticky. I used to look at the Camaro White book with all the option break downs quite often back in my 69 Camaro days. |

Bummed that they made more than the 750 Zl1 1LE they claimed would be made. But 1600 ish is not terrible. The car is still fairly rare, the 2018s anyway.
It does have a similar feel to the 5th gen z28 production run. All the hype about a track monster and then they make a shit ton of them. I’m not a fan of ford but I do like the exclusivity of the GT350R, the only downside to the limited production numbers is the stupid ADM dealers will inevitably charge. This thread should definitely be a sticky.

If you want a collectible, get a 2017 ZL1 vert M6 in arctic blue. IIRC only one or maybe two were produced. Maybe 3 in Krypton green. The 50th anniv. vert was only produced for about 3 months, only 304 total made (all colors).

These cars won't be collectible. Drive the piss out of them, race at tracks, and enjoy before our Robot Overlords make us all drive electrics.

Just got off the phone with GM Customer Service. Apparently they can't just tell you "how many M6 coupes" where made, or how many "Hyper Blue A10 Verts"...just doesn't seem to work that way unfortunately. This is what they did tell me though:
Total: 6,164 <- This is TOTAL. US, Canada, everywhere he said. Total (USA): 5,689 Coupe: 5,542 (Seems like verts are super rare no?) MJK M6: 1,025 MN6 M6: 2,592 (Regular ZL1's) Nightfall Gray: 714 (already stated earlier in this thread) So unfortunately this didn't really help my narrow down my number. I was calling trying to find out exactly how many NFG M6 Coupes are out there and ended up empty handed. Apparently you can call and check for yourself, they only thing they can really quote you numbers wise is by RPO codes. So the Nav/Sunroof/PDR guys can call and get numbers on that, maybe put together a spreadsheet or something.

Remind me of the transmission codes, please... ZL1 M6 (non-1LE) = MJK ZL1-1LE (manual trans, for now) = MH3 What is the difference between the MN6 and the MJK? |

If you call GMs heritage dept and pay $75, they will send u a nice little package that will tell u everything u want to know about your car, including the info you seek above. Did it for me 2011 ssrs vert. There were 121 identical builds to mine in that year. Cool info.

Hi all, The below info was a paste in from my 2018 build sheet on my NGM ZL1 1LE. MN6 - 6-SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION This trans has a closer 6th gear than the standard ZL1 M6. IMO, it's the very best manual trans I've used in a lot of years. Seems plenty strong for it's use, to me the shifter is perfect, and the ratios are the best going. JJ
