I still have about 7mm left on the original ones so I'm thinking i will just run them and wait for some feedback from you guys.
The ones on the left appear to be incorrect.

Hi,
Just noticed my post is missing some additional info.
This is a follow up post from earlier in the thread (#29 and 31) regarding some pads someone found on ebay for $150 the set (front/rear). The part number was an older discontinued part number that "should" have been compatible with the current one.
I took a chance but, as you also noticed, they are clearly not the same.

I think they would still work, just not as well.....and certainly not as well for a track situation.

Has there been any conclusion on the pads for the ZLE?

It looks like it is documented that the pad compounds for the ZLE are different. If so, what is the correct part number for the OEM pads?

All the flavors of 1LE’s, SS, and all ZL1 use Ferodo HP1000 compound. The Delco #s: 171-1192 front and 171-0882 rear for J6H brakes (ZL1). You can see it printed and / or stamped on back sides of the pads.

The Current OE Pads will no longer be available in Washington or California after 01/01/2021.

The new brake pad law WAC 173-901-050 takes effect 01/01/2021. This will effect the allocation of Brembo Brake Equipped vehicles in Washington because the pads contain more than 5% copper.

This means if you are thinking of a new Brembo Brake Equipped Car you should place an order with a dealer soon. Vehicle allocation will likely be disrupted in Washington and California at least initially.

Here's what I just received from gmpartsonline.net when I ordered OEM ZL1 front pads ($307 delivered vs $410 at the dealer down the street). Took over 6 weeks to get, but that's the same lead time my local dealer quoted.

Note, although the shipment was well protected, I did notice a few chips on the friction material on the corners.

Maybe this will also help in terms of price:

Front brake pads, AC Delco part#: 171-1192

Calipers are slightly different to accommodate the 1" larger rotors on the ZL1 / ZLE. Pads are different also.
I track my SS with standard ZL1 brakes every chance i get and have been pleased with the ZL1 pads. When it comes time to replace them, I will go with the ZLE pads. I wonder if the difference between std & ZLE pads is even noticeable on the track?

Wow.....Rock Auto has them "AC Delco 1711192" for $226.79, plus tax and $8.99 for shipping. Consider them next time. Never buy them for a dealer, unless they are the best price, which doesn't happen often. FYI, gmpartsonline.net is a dealership.

Just re-read mine and Danco's post. If, as I now interpret it, Danco was wondering about ZL1 vs ZLE calipers, then the only difference is the color, I believe. I initially thought he was comparing ZL1 and SS 1LE calipers.
