Hesitation and sputtering
I can't find out what is wrong with my car. Its a 2018 camaro rs 3.6. It has a hesitation and sputtering problem on acceleration, as well as the rpm gage jumps up every 2 seconds about 300rmp then drops back down and does it again. Anyone have any ideas? You can also feel from the back of the car a pretty concerning shake when accelerating sometimes, ive changed the spark plugs and coil packs. Let me know what you guys think.

Are you familiar with the very common A8 shudder that plauges these cars?

Car is 3 years old, is it still under warranty? Engine and powertrain is 5/60. Take it to the dealer and have them go through it. Not sure throwing parts at it is the answer. I have not heard of the LGX having the transmission issues but it could be possible you have a problem with the powertrain. possible you got a bad batch of gas.

My 2017 2LT had the exact same issue. It would shudder like many others have dealt with under light throttle, but it also had the rpm jumping issue when maintaining speed up a moderate incline. It felt like the transmission was slipping and then grabbing repeatedly.
Got the triple flush done and that fixed it completely, no issues since. From what I understand, if you catch the shuddering early, the TC shouldn’t have any permanent damage. |
