Of course my Dad is 82. But I need a good soundtrack to go with a car. Deal breaker for me.
The car to have will be the up coming GT4 with the GT3 9K redline motor. Unfortunately, you will not be able to get one anywhere close to MSRP and I bet it encroaches on the standard GT3 in pricing.

I would be in heaven with the new upcoming GT4 with a 9K redline and a PDK tranny. OMG!!!!!!! I would take that over a GT3 RS or a GT2 RS

Some dealers will sell them at MSRP..... but only to existing customers who have purchased new Porsches before. A buddy bought a 911 T just to be able to get a GT car later at MSRP. Plus the 911 T is pretty cool by itself, it's unique at least.

I agree though, the new GT4 if rumors hold out will be an incredible car.. except for that PDK part of your post.. I don't care that it's faster, I'll take the three pedal option always.

GT4 will be a awesome car. Unfortunately it will be at a price that I won't go near.

The 718 Cayman S gets better 1/4 mile times, everything else goes to the SS 1LE it looks. VIR Lightning Lap 2:54 1LE vs 2:58 718 S

Sorry I had too. LOL! The 718 S did have some serious speed on the back stretch but was no match for the 1LE's grip!

From the video above. It doesnt look like he will be getting passed on a track. But maybe the drag strip.

There was a significant handling and braking advantage at Road Atlanta from the video above. Might have been a driver mod snuck in the mix also.

GM has done one thing really well for quite some time now, first with the Corvettes and now with the Camaros and that is lateral G's.

As far back as the C5 Z06, GM has owed that performance number (unless you were getting into 6 digit price tags and even then not always)

That lateral G feeling in the corners and on/off ramps is VERY addicting. After I got rid of my C5 Z06, I tried many sports cars and none of them gave me that feeling of hugging the corners with such force, until I got into the C6 Z06.

The problem was up until the Gen. 6 Camaro, there was a HUGE penalty to pay in quality for that lateral G experience. It is one of the reasons I am in a SS 1LE now.

Kinda got off topic here, but the feeling of substained 1.1 to 1.2 G's in turns is a thrill seekers dream and one I always try to experience as often as possible.

The Cayman is an awesome car but man, the 1LE just looks meaner.
