Groans when cold as I'm backing out of my driveway and then it's pretty much gone after that.

Fluid has been changed 3 times. Dealer said it was normal so I've moved on and don't worry about it anymore.

Have a 2016 V6 RS manual and have the groan and its getting worse. Had the fluid changed and the groan has returned and it's much worse. Also, the rear diff is fu up because it jerks violently to the right and left when doing hard acceleration. I bet the clutch pack is fu up. This is why I lease. Never have done a burn out in this car. Have 10700 miles

I have a 2017 2SS and had the triple flush done. I put about 60 miles on it before the final flush and it only groaned when first leaving the dealer. No groan so far after the third flush was performed.

Me to, a little over 4K just noticed it when its been sitting. Goes away after it warms up. Went to the dealer, service writer pulled up the TSB and made an appointment for next Friday morning.

I had the groan. Changed the fluid myself. Fluid was grey. Looked awful. Groan returned after 3 months. Changed fluid again...fluid looked brand new. Groan went away and has returned. I know the fluid will look just fine. It only groans on the first couple turns in the morning. I'm just gonna live with it.

Only happens when the car is cold turning out of the driveway. Might pushed to get the fluid changed.

The dealer replaced the fluid last week. The car drove great that same day, no groan. The next morning while pulling my car out of the garage it requires full left and right turns in reverse at full steering lock. Holy crap, the groan was worse than ever and loud as hell! It did however cease after about 10 minutes of driving once it warmed up. Scheduled to bring it in at the end of the week for a second fluid change. Fingers crossed. Reading this thread on the subject doesn't make me too hopeful.

Now that it has been a month and about 1,500 miles, I can report that with a single fluid change my groan is gone.

I voted initially that I'd changed my fluid, with no groan before or after.

fast forward about 8000 miles and I have it.

It's at the dealer now for a flush/fill, 5 figure 8's, and a reflush/fill. they said they will do this up to 5 times according to the bulletin.

Changed mine at 1500 miles with no groaning before hand. After changing with factory diff fluid that includes friction modifier developed a groan. 3/4 tube of Trans-x posi friction modifier and rear end works great. I'm surprised this thread has made it this far. Its obvious the factory fluid doesn't come with enough slip modifier.

Some groan first turn or 2 in the morning or after sitting a few hours.
Reading that changing fluid does not help or can make it worse.
I just live with it. More hassle to get it changed.
Never changed my fluid. 2 years and about 18000 miles

its pretty pathetic that they cant get such a major issue corrected.
I have been taking off work, in and out of the dealer 14 days total and they finally tell me after the fix didn't work again, that its a characteristic and there is no fix LOL I had it done once, the noise is TERRIBLE now. on top of that it doesn't sound like just the rear diff but the axle now too because there is two distinct noises and one sounds like its causing damage. not even a groan but a metal on metal grinding.
man do I regret buying this car
