My 2017 ZL1 Build - Magnuson 2300/Ported Heads/Cam/ARH LT/CAI - Tune Time Performance
I have been contemplating how to go about modifying my ZL1 and it is going under the knife next week.
Tune Time Performance in Lakewood,NJ (https://www.tunetimeperformance.com/) will be installing the equivalent of their C7 Z06 850 HP package (I requested some additions to it):
Tune Time Performance will also be performing the dyno/street tuning. I am hoping for for 180+ whp gain or so. Hoping the fuel pump voltage booster keeps us from dropping down below 14.x volts and add a little voltage as needed on the LP fuel system side since the cam will have taken us likely far enough on the HP side. Their dyno is know to be a bit of a heart breaker on top of it being a mustang dyno. We will be looking for gains here, we could calculate back out the loss for comparison if needed. It made 520hp /502 ft-lbs, which is around 582/562 if you use the common internet value of 12% higher to convert to dynojet (right with most others dynojet #s). It was heat soaked from 2 hours of Jersey shore traffic and we gave it 30 min in front of the fans to help, had a little knock it looked like. The car does get raced up at lime rock so sitting for 30-60 min between sessions is right on anyways as a reality check. Should get the car back in around 2 weeks. More to come as the build progresses! Their crew has been very professional and I know the car will come out 100% in the end and meet my expectations.

Look in 2nd to last paragraph, there is a discussion on that. Stock baseline for me is stock + catback (no real gain expected with stock cats/headers).

Hey, glad you picked Magnuson. I got to check those out for the zl1 when I was there at Magnuson a couple weeks ago. Your car should be killer when they finish and should see lower intake temps with the 2300, those have the newer designed intercooler bricks. Mine made over 700 rwhp on stock lt1.Enjoy the new found power when you get it back.

It should be pretty impressive when done. Matt from Tune Time and I were going back and forth between it and 2.9 Whipple and based on build quality and lower IAT expectations we went TVS 2300. He has done a few of them recently and all the builds turned out well.
The waiting will be the hardest part! They are doing the heads in house which is slick, the have a 5-axis CNC, wish I was there to take a video of them getting ported!

It'll be a bit loud now for a lot of tracks, have to wait for the unmuffled events

Need larger lower pulley and waiting for parts. It made +100 ft-lbs at ~10lbs (2.5 less than stock) boost, looking to head towards 16lbs.
Expectations/guesses are 725+ whp and 685+ ft-lbs from 520/500 stock baseline - all on mustang dyno. Should be done by the weekend.
