I saw that too, thanks. With all the talk of how some do not like the refresh, I am one that thought the 4th gen was funny looking, but when the Z28 and SS came out, I knew I had to get it. Especially since I got to use it for patrol duties. I wish I still had the pics of it. Diehard Camaro fans will by it, even if it looks funny to them. I'm in wait and see mode for now.

The underpinnings of the car are unchanged, basically....An A10 and a T4-1LE are added as upgrades...all good...Still a 6thGen. |

Chevrolet needs to roll out a '19 in black or mosaic. Know there is a cgi of them on their site, but in real life may help their case. |

One of the things the driver/engineer talked about was that they were trying to keep the price down to be competitive with the Mustang. Although he mentioned nothing specific, based on the way he was talking I would expect to see the price go up by maybe only a few hundred dollars.
So here are some of the pictures I took of the 2019 (just to get some new angles).

Can't believe they got rid of Ashen Grey, now its either a dark silver or almost black.

I'm not falling in love with it, getting an additional 25-40hp out of the LT1 would help, I see c8 vette info circulating claiming a 500hp Lt1.

This just looks odd to me. The bumper design by itself looks good. And the tail light/trunk design by itself looks good. But together they just don't look right. Like one team designed the tail lights and another team designed the bumper, but they never talked to one another. They just go lucky that it kinda fit.

That's just the thing, not everyone is a brand loyalist. I get that looks are subjective, beauty is certainly in the eyes of the beholder. But let's be real here, this isn't an improvement in the looks department over the current MY'16-18 iteration. Chevy sold me on Camaro's performance, but I also bought the car because the looks of the SS appealed to me. If you gave me that option today between a 2019 and a new Mustang, I'd lean towards the Mustang. Even if I am sacrificing performance.
