You're welcome, this was in response to the people thinking GM could change the refresh before it releases.

Isn't context helpful?

A 5.7 R/T is the same price as a 2SS/1LE?

Well what's fun is originally for the 2015 MY refresh Dodge was going to have the 392 be the R/T, period. The 5.7 was going to be bumped down to the SXT level, as a SXT+, with the regular SXT being the 3.6.

Afterall, why have things confusing when you could have it SUPER confusing.

Some folks dont mind pretending i suppose. Kinda like a ZL1 with the look but no blower. Apparently it works for FCA customers.

Where I am you could buy a full on SRT 392 for loaded 2SS 1LE money... no way I'd pay mid-40s for an R/T, even with the 392.

True, my insurance company has a hard time figuring out what to charge me for my 18 Daytona 392. They have it as the next model up (Charger SRT). With all the safety stuff in the car, still think its crazy my insurance is so much more then my 17 ZL1

It performs like an upscale sports car, might as well move the image a bit closer to those cars.

Let's face it, the cheaper they are, the younger the buyer, the lower end the image becomes ("kid car"). Seems like they're targeting the 35 to 40+ year old professional who wants an American V8 powered sports car/muscle car.

Some people dont care, but some want a little bit of exclusivity. I like not seeing a V8 camaro at every intersection. There are 3 V8 challengers, and 4 mustang GTs in the parking lot at work. One camaro the limited time I drive it there. People flock to it to check it out.
In the '04-'06 GTO world the term 'falling prices, falling quality' or FPFQ was used to sadly point out that the resale prices have plummeted and the new owners were high school kids that bussed tables at Red Lobster and plastidipped their GTO before flipping it upside down on someones front lawn. Pretty sure there's a thread or two dedicated to FPFQ antics.

Around here Challengers and Mustangs are everyday sightings, and you will see several each day.
Fifth gen Camaros are rare, they seem to come out on the weekends and in the summer, might see a few a week, maybe one a day in the nice weather and a couple on the weekend.
So far sixth gen Camaros are a little more common than Big Foot or a male Unicorn. Might see one or two a month when it's nice. One Sunday I doubled my sixth gen count for the season when I crossed paths with a SEPA cruise out to Reading PA. There were six cars in the group.

I've never seen a 1LE or ZL1 in the wild.

This is just casual observation on the road. I don't go to car shows or cruise nights, this is just from the general population.

Probably since the 6.4 car motor is classified as a SRT only product..in fact I think doesn't the engine say "Powered by SRT" or something?
