It's still hot here in Memphis. Upper 80s to mid 90s with heat index at or above 100. But yes ready for cooler weather.

Hope all is well with you and the rest of the gang here.

Damn. Almost anything I can think of is there already. I'm big on the engine stop/start. That would be better to avoid the gas guzzler tax than the annoying skip shift. The V8 actually gets decent gas mileage when in motion. I find my mileage drops significantly in traffic when all 8 cylinders are firing for nothing.

Well, I've decided (with some hesitation) that I'm going to do some track time with my car on September 13th at a Track Night in America event. My fiance asked if I'd want to do it as my birthday gift and I had to really kick it around but I finally decided to do it.

I'm just going to put the stock brake pads back on for it since I got the Powerstops on currently and I do not trust them for track use. I'm doing novice level which shouldn't be too hardcore according to some of the guys in one of the other forums so hopefully I don't beat on it too bad...

So Jealous! They won't let convertibles on the track. Best they could do for me is to allow me on autocross.

I realized I never came back and posted about my track experience. I liked it for the most part but novice level had 33 cars. The track is 2.8 miles and maybe it was just me but that seemed like too many as things seemed a little more crowded than I'd like. It was fun and I'm glad I did it but if I did it again it would need to be in a dedicated track car that I don't mind abusing which will likely never happen lol.

I don't have any in car videos other than one my fiance took on the paced laps in the beginning. It was just light cruising. The only other ones I have were just of me driving by where she was standing so not much to see.

My dad changed out my rear diff fluid as per the owner's manual and said he was kind of surprised how much metal was in the old fluid. I DID NOT like hearing that.

Glad you enjoyed it and yeah sounds like a few too many.

And that's pretty common on the first fluid change in rear diffs. And why it's strongly suggested to change early. After that it's fine.

I guess that's OK if it's common, I'm just curious how much was from break-in and how much was the track usage...

I'm going to say most was breakin. But that's just my educated/uneducated guess.

Love the pics above.

I am about to turn 18K on the miles. How are you folks holding up?

Dropping the top every time I take her out now that the weather is awesome.

Any road trips, rallies, or issues come up as of late?
