But most people trade up by the time they would pay off a loan. I'd rather keep more liquid cash in savings and investments than paying off small loans quicker which aren't long term.

The first $1,000 on a brand new stock car?
I would do a pretty comprehensive Clear Bra job and a curb alert. Not the sexiest first mods but really will protect your exterior which is what you should do NOW versus letting chips happen that will need to be fixed.
