I’m not buying the aggressive driving excuse for one minute, that’s fake news. Most all sports cars and even cheap rental cars get driven aggressively and they’re not smoking the air conditioning compressor’s. That’s just stupid reasoning. Think about all those Ford raptors running through the desert wide-open throttle with the air conditioning on or how about any stick shift vehicles with air-conditioning that over rev on miss shift.

I've had slight belt squeal on a couple takeoffs with a/c on in my 70k mile experience, never shredded a belt though. But stuff happens. OP may have hit it just right to make the belt jump, and that's all it takes sometimes. Replace the belt and move on, I say. It's a sub 20 dollar fix, maybe half an hour if you do it yourself Now if it happens every two weeks, then you have some issues (my old LS1 Camaro shredded them a lot, because the compressor was beginning to seize).

hahaha, I really wasn't expecting to receive the flak I did for saying I was driving aggressively lol, I didn't even say how aggressive. Anyway, sorry for the post spam, I didn't really know where to post it too, I posted it to General(didn't expect a response), Camaro Issues(expected a response) and Mechanical Maintenance(Expected a response). You are the only thread that responded so again sorry for the post spam. About the problem, I have a scheduled maintenance for on the 25th and am eager to inform you of the diagnosed problem. Thank you all for your thoughts and ideas + the flak about my driving because I'm sure you're all angels ;P

Also, the car only has 12,208 miles on her. Here is a quick question, should I take my CAI off when I get her serviced(I'm not taking off my oil catch can). Sorry if that's a dumb question but I do have a warranty(as most do), I don't want them to jot something down in some file and destroy me with it in 2 years when I try and get it serviced and they pull some magical **** you file.

I always take off any bolt-ons if they are fairly easy to remove/install. I do not want to give them any reason to blame the problem on something i did.

They are not supposed to deny claims unless the modification is directly responsible for the failure, but still dont like to give them any ammunition if possible.

^^^This. You're getting warm air which more than likely means the compressor isn't turning. Take your car in asap! Don't drive it like that.

Also, you can drive this car spiritedly. There are tons of people on here modding and tracking their cars with little to no issues. A seized compressor can happen to any car, anytime. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

They are known to void warranties for catch cans. I woukd be more worried about that than the CAI.

I was too lazy to remove any of the boltons. I gave them the car yesterday and they currently state that the AC compressor froze up and caused the belt to slip and burn. They ordered it and said it would be fixed today but the part hasnt arrived yet. Ill update you once everything is done.

I apologize for not responding, I have been super busy. So I bought the car to them with all my bolt-ons on the vehicle. They never said a word, claimed that the A/C compressor clutch failed. They replaced the A/C Compressor, belt and recharged my A/C.
