Chevron is the best. Or premium pure-gas with no ethanol.

K&N... Check MAF sensor for oil/dust. Had this happen to me when I had a CAI with one of their filters on my 2012 with the LFX, contaminated sensor.

Yup, was just going to suggest looking at the MAF sensor too. I had issues on a previous car (not chevy), and a gently cleaning of the MAF solved the issue. Some of the aftermarket filters are over oiled.

Sorry to re-open an old thread, but I recently (last couple of days) had this problem happen to me in my Gen 5. I did a hard accelerate (I'm not sure if I redlined or not) and the CEL came on, blinking. It eventually stopped blinking and when I stopped at a red light it went off.

I do have a K&N cold air intake, also. Guess it's time to clean the thing and the MAF!

This just happened to me

I have headers, cai, e85, borla atak. Went into 2nd gear, floored it up to like 5k and then my rev match turned off and stabilitrak turned off and engine light flashing. My car was wanting to stall so i had to give it alittle gas and exhaust sounded terrible. Turned off after a minute and exhaust was smooth. Not sure what happened

This thread reminded me I had this problem earlier this year, second gear pulls I'd randomly get flashing cel that would disappear after a while. Happened right after I got after a full tank of 87 octane from a walmart gas station...I've since started filling up with 93 octane only, 10 track days later still haven't gotten a single cel since. These cars may be rated to take 87 but it just runs a lot better on 93 from personal experience.
