I4 Integrated or External Engine Oil Cooler?

I know to use the PF64 AC Delco filter now... so I changed the topic of this thread.

For the I4 engine, how do I know if I have Integrated or External Engine Oil Cooler? The difference is in the capacity of the engine oil. I either need 5 quarts (Integrated Cooler) or 5.5 quarts (External Cooler).

Amazon Basics has a 5 quart jug with the correct specs for even less. Is there a way to see who actually produces the oil for Wal-Mart or Amazon?

The Amazon Basics jug states it's manufactured by Highline Warren Distribution in Nebraska. Apparently they make Rain-X too. The Wal-Mart (Super-Tech) jog doesn't state who the manufacturer is on the back label.

The dealer told me my engine oil cooler is integrated, because the external engine oil cooler part is N/A for my VIN. I guess proof by contradiction will have to suffice in this case.

I was thrown off by the manual. In the capacities section, it listed the oil capacities for I4 with integrated oil cooler (5 qt) and with external oil cooler (5.5 qt), and I wanted to know if I would need additional oil.

If you have the 1LE package, then you would need 5.5 qts. All others take just 5 quarts for the LTG.
