JMS FuelMax installed

Would like to say thanks to TMS and XXX ZL1 for helping out with some details from their installs, I tried to make this as clean as possible. The following threads contain all the details you will need, I have some additional photos in mine, all 3 should be more than enough. This was done as a "no cut" installation, see parts list below.

https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showp...49&postcount=6
https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=536723

Note: If you install the JMS FuelMax right near the plastic grommet you will not have to extend the cables, they just reach. The 30A fuse included is a micro fuse, you need to get a 30A micro2 fuse for the fuel pump. I mounted the FuelMax using industrial strength velcro so it could be easily accessed and gives it a little shock absorption.

Parts required (from Mouser)
  • 571-8289051 (Seal)
  • 571-1326032-6 (female 12AWG)
  • 571-1-1326031-2 (male 12AWG)
Couple installation notes that line up with each picture in order below:
  • Connector is buried under the differential, sucked!
  • Connector
  • Lock removed, push out simultaneously on the two outer tabs
  • Pin pulled from harness and two new wires pinned
  • Factory wire goes to input to JMS FuelMax, white wire goes where factory wire went (no wires cut here)
  • Heatshrink over the connection, pin inserted, ready to go back
  • My new additional harness on left, factory on right
  • JMS FuelMax installed in trunk left side, excess cable that goes up to throttle pedal coiled up, use one of the ground lugs right there for it

Thanks a bunch for taking the time to post this. I am at the limit of my low side and need to install one of these. I DYI most of my mods so this is great.

Which JMS part number is the correct one for the ZL1?

JMS FuelMax worked out well. Was able to push into a smaller pulley with my setup finally. First pull we were rich up top and had more than commanded fuel pressure on low side initially (finally, was running down previously), high side was very stable. Car spent a bunch of time on the dyno and runs great. Tuning was done at Tune Time Performance.

You have a camshaft too correct? Im curious as to when a low side upgrade is needed (like dsx). According to jannety, you can use the JMS with a low side upgrade.
I also have a JMS fuel max and its working great. XXX ZL1 is my buddy/tuner and we did them for the consistency on the pump. Also, for anyone that does these, you can use one of the spare fuse's in the front fuse panel if you forget to get a micro 30a.

What’s your pressures like now? How did you adjust the over the commanded psi at top end and keep the pressures below dialed in?

The JMS will not raise the pressure beyond commanded that is still controlled by the FSCM

The JMS is a voltage booster that will feed your FSCM.

I get that but in my case my psi drops to high 40s- low 50s, what will the JMS do for me?

That is where I was landing prior to JMS FuelMax even though commanded was much higher. After installation we were able to achieve commanded on low side and the high side was much more stable.
