How many of you are planning on doing this? Are many of you opting to just go without and begin enjoying the car immediately. I am on the fence. I just got a quote of $2500 and wondering if it's really worth it. I could easily repaint the car white again in 5 years if it's bad enough, but there's a side of me that says you just spent 60k on a car, do it.

It's worth it. I had my 13 ZL1 done and then the 16 SS. The ZL1 got a few nicks in the film but my SS is still nick free after 8,200 daily driven miles.

You can peel of and reapply easier than repaint and reprint is never as durable as the original.

Advice - Find the guy in your area who is doing the exotics. I did less the second time and skipped the front fenders.

At 570 miles, I had stage 1 paint correction done to the entire car, then Suntek paint protection film applied to the entire front end, side rockers, quarter panel behind the doors, side-mirrors, and the high impact area behind rear wheels. This was followed by two applications of a class coating over the entire car including the film areas.

It was expensive but so far has proved to be well worth it. I already had several small paint chips in the splitter before any of this was done.

Here's a photo I took of my car yesterday. You have to look real hard to even see where the film has been applied.

Same here. You won't regret it. Almost 5 years and no issues.

I am doing the same - Xpel...not the entire car but the key critical areas shortly after I pick up the car.

You might be able to do better than the $2500 on the ZL1. About a week ago, I got hard ZL1 Xpel quotes of $1750 for the full front end and about $400 for rockers, etc... but I would have to pay cash or check.

ps. I had this done on my GT3 7 years ago with a lot of use. The car is damn near perfect today. I plan to have the old stuff replaced, have the car detailed and re-apply. I should get a new looking car back... good for another 7 years.

Best money I ever spent on my 2013.
Price will depend on which brand and how much of the car you get done.

You want to get it installed as soon as you can to insure the paint is in the best condition possible.

When I got mine done, the dealer sent it to the same company they use for their corvettes.

I had the front facia, the mirrors, and the gill area in front of the rear wheels, for $900, but that was 4 1/2 years ago.

I have Suntek on 4 different cars, including the ZL1 they are actually doing right now, be done Thursday. I did full front end, fenders, hood, doors, mirrors, wrapped all the way under rocker panels and actually tried something new on quarters, instead of doing full car I had them use the upper "arc" line on quarter panel as a break for film, so couple inches from where that arc ends near door should be only area line might be visible, but my car is white too, so most forgiving for PPF lines. I love the stuff, so far for me it has been as advertised, self healing, easy to maintain, and with most edges wrapped hard to tell it's there.

i have gotten several quotes for xpel in the chicagoland area and they are pricey.
at first i was thinking about doing a full car wrap but after the price i was given i will not be going that way. two places quoted my anywhere from5-7k for full car wrap. another told me 2.5k but is a less know.
so now im just doing to do full front clip. full bumper full hood full fenders mirrors and full doors. side rocker panels and the quarter panels hopefully it will not be more then 3.5k with a single step paint correction
