Predict the damage?

Took my car in for a recall and they weren't able to finish it - so I asked to see my car as I was picking up the loaner. They had the front facia off and I wanted to see what it looked like beneath the skin. Happened to glance down the side of my car and noticed my car's body panels bulging. Noticed that my car was lifted at all 4 corners on its body panels.

I'm not going to throw the dealership under the bus or raise hell. But, I'm curious what you all think.???

p.s. The weather here has been absolutely horrendous - constant rain and fall leaves everywhere so my car is filthy!

That's not on the lift correctly, I think.

Part of why I had the thread titled: "predict the damage." I honestly don't know what kind of damage may have already occurred or what damage may result from sitting like this all weekend?

I just assumed that it wasn't right and didn't look good.

And a previous question was asked "Chevy dealership?" The answer is yes. Edit: I'm now starting to worry about it more..... and beginning to worry that the body panels have been damaged.

Oh my! That is not gonna buff out. Whatever you do, do NOT leave the dealership until that is fixed.

Paint isn't all that flexible. In time am I going to see a million little spider web cracks in the paint at all 4 of these locations?

When it comes off the lift it's still going to be buckled. They will be sending it out for body work. I would lose my mind.

That is a crying shame. If they don't even know how to properly lift the car then I can only imagine the quality of the rest of the work. A competent tech would know that they have to use the proper adapters on the lift arm so you don't crush your rocker panels like that.

Good thing you have pictures. As mentioned your car will now be in the body shop for even more repairs.

They put your car on the lift WRONG! There are specific jack points on the uni-body that MUST be followed!!!!!

This is VERY bad. Highly likely your unibody is now out of alignment, which means your entire car is no longer plum with itself. This kind of thing is near impossible to fix properly. Doors/hood/trunk/windows may not open and close properly. You may develop shakes/rattles/squeaks in the interior because the panels no longer fit perfect. Drivability issues may arise over time.

I'd hire a lawyer.

Ouch! Sorry to see that. It's amazing that you can't trust a Chevy dealer to work on a Chevy vehicle. And they really do NOT give a frack about your car - in fact, the more expensive, the more they do wrong with it (jealousy can be damaging). The service MANAGER at my dealer was putting on another FIFTY badge (the Y fell off on the other one) and kicked the lift arm into the rim making a nice little divet in my beautiful 50th rims. I know he didn't do it on purpose... he was up and down while cleaning the old glue off and probably bumped the lift arm. Now I've been trying to get the number from them for the rim "repair" guy at their sister dealer and they have yet to get it to me. I do everything I can to take good care of my vehicle and it all goes to shit at the only other place that should give a crap.
