Any experience with 22ple? I've been wanting to try this but haven't had the chance yet. Great write ups btw, I love detailing just as much as driving.

22 gets good reviews and a few moderators on the vette forum like it. Easy to use.

Coatings are great for those that dont detail much, i use it on the "high traffic" areas of the car, like mirrors and lower rockers and wheels...dirt slides off. coatings are not for rock protection, though, just swirl protection.

I use 22ple Pro and Pro 2. Definitely one of the easiest to use. If you miss a spot while buffing off residue as long as you catch it within a few hours you can take some more product and go over it, then buff immediately it takes care of the problem. The Pro version has a finish like Opti-coat 2.0, very hydrophobic and self cleaning, but it doesn't have a slick feel. Pro 2 has a nice slick feel and it's a three year coating.

Hey Glen, I was going to get some of these products but couldn't find Menzerna 4500. It looks like it only goes up to Menzerna 3800 now. Is that the same thing?

Thank you for your guides Glen. Like I said elsewhere I'm just going to follow your lead and copy your experienced hands.

I washed, used that sponge clay bar which works very well (even effective with bugs/tar), and hydro2'd my wheels.

Everyone the hydro2 silica sealant stuff is amazing! Unsure how the heck it works but, my wheels instantly beaded water after rinsing it off. The water just sat there beaded up on the wheels for the next 4 hours while I was buffing my car.

Last step I managed to complete today was blackfire polish & seal. Great product!

I didn't get a chance to do the blackfire crystal seal yet...... Perhaps a sick day tomorrow?

If you're going to put a day or two between the black fire polish and the Crystal seal youll need to rinse the car again just with water first.

Remember go easy with the Crystal -25 to 35 spritzes per car.

Agreed, Hydro2 is a game changer for wheels.
