Picked up the car this afternoon from Cavallo. The GM touch up paint caused a raised area. The film over the raised area only enhanced the problem. I agreed to wait a couple of weeks to see if the Sun may improve the look. Most likely I will be taking it back. Jason suggested to order Dr color chip and he believes he can improve the job. The rest of the car looks very good.

Leaving to go pick up the car from getting the clear bra. I did front end(including hood, fenders bumpers and spliter) , mirrors, and rockers then had those areas ceramic coated. Hope to have time this weekend to clay other panels and wax.

You cannot tell a difference between wrapped panels and unwrapped panels, as long as the install is right. There's a big price difference once you start talking about complete coverage.

Confirmed. I can't tell from any angle which panels are and aren't wrapped.

Has anyone had the 3M paint protection package installed that is available as a dealer installed option via the Camaro Build page? It doesn't mention the rocker panels or front lip though. Just wondering if that is a viable option instead of Xpel?

It is not the 3M that is the problem. Dealer gets someone, that you don't know or ever heard of to put it on. Not done at the factory. The install is way, way more important than the brand. I went with someone that had good references and people I knew who were happy. Also a template install like the purchased option will show seams. It is worth a few hundred more to have it done right.

+1 Xpel (non-template) and I can't tell even with my nose to the car where it is. Luckily I have pictures of them putting it on, otherwise I would question if it was put on.

It probably differs by locale, but the Xpel dealer that I went with is contracted to do installs at dealers for those dealer options. If there are 3M equivalents I'm sure they know what they're doing. People wouldn't take ownership of their car if they got there and it looked like crap before signing.

Tried to read a good amount of the thread, but there is now 8 pages. Is the front (fenders, bumper, hood), mirrors and rockers the most damaged parts on these cars? Also, is there anything like the Novistretch bra on the Corvettes that you could use to get safely home from the dealership. Believe it or not, the one and only rock chip I got on my Corvette was in the first 15 miles on the way home.

I did XPEL Ultimate on the front bumper, spoiler, complete hood, mirrors, complete fenders, complete doors, bottom half of the front and back quarter panels, first 4 inches or so above the windshield on the roof, entrance to trunk, smaller strip... That covers everything that could get a projectile... I only did the whole doors to protect against door dings.

Note: doing the whole rear involves a lot more expense which was not worth it for me.
