Haha, no kidding. I have plenty of regrets and dead friends to prove it. I still would never key someone's car. My dad raised me to confront the person directly if I had a problem with them. Glad you learned something from doing that ,and I never said I was perfect by the way.

Will a magnet stick to the door of a new Camaro? I'm assuming the panels are all aluminum.

@cellsafemode Glad to see your car got fixed up... I'm pretty sure i would've had a mental break down if i came out to what you did the day the damage took place; some people have no respect... :(

I feel your pain. I've got my first ding a few weeks ago. Literally had parked several empty rows beyond the rest of the parked vehicles. Came out to a minivan parked over-the-line next to me, with a fresh ding on the car.

As a side note: When I pay $30K+ for ANYTHING and take care of it as best I can, only to have someone damage it through sheer carelessness, I'll certainly be upset. I assume that's a pretty human response...

Yeah, just last night I got out of the house after having nasal surgery on Tuesday. I went by the drug store to get some supplies and this fartknocker opens the rear door on his SUV. He whacked the gas cap on my car hard enough to pop it open.

I stare at him, look at the gun on my hip and decide that it isn't worth the bullshit.

Can the paintless dent removal guys still tap out a ding if there's a small paint chip in the center?

no one mentioned if the driver or passenger of the car was twice your size, you still going to kick their butt?

*WHAM* their door opens and hits your car, you jump out with an attitude of "KILL KILL" and you are standing beside this car waiting for the guy to step out so you can put your foot through his face. But the guy stepping out is 6'9" 320 lbs of Powerlifting hell. You going to commence the butt whooping at the time, or are you going to be made to eat your right arm? My bet is you dial back that attitude from a 10 to a 1 real quick, maybe even apologize for parking to close to their car.

Not my Camaro, thank the car gods, but looked up from passenger seat of husband's new Impala to see woman trying to push her cart between the front of his and the car parked across from him. No room as you can imagine, and she jammed the cart into his car. I yelled from in the car and made a motion. She looked at me worried and did the apologetic wave then turned tail to go back around through an open space a few spaces down to get to the the row behind where his was parked. I jumped out to check the front. Sure enough she produced a good scuff. Quick assessment and I'm pretty sure I can get it out with the orbital. But I tell my husband who is at the back of the car loading trunk. He yells over to the lady who says "No I didn't hit your car" (maybe she didn't see me at this point.) I stride over halving the distance between us, locked eyes with her and said "Ma'am, yes you did. You tried to push your cart through and even acknowledged me. The least you can do is act like a mature adult and apologize." She at that point apologized. I turned around, let go some explicatives and got in the car. WTF is wrong with people? ::::::woooosah:::::: ::::::::woosah::::::

Wow, makes me not want to take my car out in public reading all this stuff!!

The ONE, and the only one benefit I can think of for having a disability is I get a handicapped placard. The parking spaces are wide, and if you get an end one, no one can touch the side of your car with their door.

However I do not recommend this as a way to obtain good parking
