Can you re-install 1LE front splitter?

I'm considering repainting my front bumper and vinyl wrapping my splitter. I have to drill out the rivets and remove the splitter for this. Can you re-mount the 1LE splitter to the bumper? The rivets will be need to be replaced but is the rest of the hardware reuseable?

Only the rivets under the car should need to be replaced. But to answer your question, yes you can reattach the bumper assuming you dont break any of the tabs.

I would think you could re-attach the splitter in the correct spot with all new rivets since the holes will already be there. I no when installing the splitter to a new bumper, you need the template to align it corrrectly.

You could also replace the rivets with bolts and nuts if you wanted to

I just went through this, we repainted the fascia/bumper cover. Originally I was going to tape off the splitter.......but my paint guy really wanted me to remove everything for a better paint job. He was right. I thought I could get "good enough" hardware from Lowe's or Ace. I was not able to, so I went down the OEM route. They are not cheap!
All of the rivets went on with my rivet gun, it has several tips which came in handy since the plastic rivets are bigger.

92231490 Rivet, Front Bumper Fascia Molding, 10ea (plastic ones on the top of the facia, hold the 2 mounting strips on)
11546342 Rivet, Front Bumper Fascia, 8ea (these attach to the rear of the splitter)
11546343 Rivet, Front Bumper Fascia, 25ea (these attach to the front of the splitter)

A friend painted it, actually he was giving tutelage. He doesn’t do it as a job, it took us 2 1/2 weeks. Mostly because I’m slow, lol!

I wasn’t going to repaint it, he shamed me into it. It was very rough, but being a dark color the blemishes did not show up until you got close

Well guys, I received the aftermarket metal and plastic rivets to remove and re-install the 1LE Splitter for $35 shipped. I plan to install 1 of each this weekend to test them out.
