using the HD fiber discs from Dremel. I def agree. don't know fully what they are made of, but the aluminum is fairly thin and the heat was minimal.

measure correctly, and make sure your template is correct. old adage, measure 10 times cut once.

how soon are you to do it?

I'm about to do mine tomorrow. Any extra picture ( just the holes) or anything I should know about. Still a bit confused on how to cut it to get it perfect

Did mine last Friday. Pretty much followed the OP, but used sheetmetal screws to hold the templates on. I would recommend a sheet or tarp over the engine as a lot of dust/shavings will end up in the engine compartment.

Just take your time, the hood cuts pretty easily.

So you cut on the inner line all the way around? I just want to make sure I got that right. And about what is the dimension for the inner line?

Yes, I measured about 3/8" in from the outside of the template, which made for a tight fit. Just don't go too big or the clips won't work.

GM stock black ones are around $90 A piece. They are on eBay every now and then for a little cheaper. I have some silver ones I'm trying to trade for some black ones right now myself.
