Had this same problem in my Tahoe. It "IS" condensation. The seal around the headlight goes bad, and water is allowed in. or theres a small hole in the seal or casing.

Edit: ok i just got done reading everyone elses posts here, and the only way to know for sure is if you were able to look at one closely to see if its water or not.

wow thats cheap, i love those new eyeball-like headlights they have now a days, they're great light.
I was driving a Lexus ES 330, those have those eyeball lights..they're pretty bright..and when I turned the brights on it was like looking into the sun (not really but Damn they were bright - the extra lights that is, not the eyeball ones)
but the eyeball ones contributed to the brightness of course, driving out in the country to work - that sorta thing comes in handy when theres ZERO light whatsoever (at night), in comparison to my taurus' standard lights.

There are two possibilities. If you have glass sealed beams, its most likely condensation and you have a crack or hole in the glass. If you have plastic headlight housings with replaceable bulbs, its most likely not condensation but fogging of the plastic. You could also have condensation on the plastic housings if you have leaking seals around the bulb or a hole/crack in the housing somewhere. In either case, if you have a hole/crack you will have to replace parts. If its just the fogging of the plastic, then you can just repolish.
The OP referred to the 4th gen f-bodies, so in that case 90% of the time its just fogged plastic not condensation.

I just picked up a bottle of Mequires Plastic cleaner/polish yesterday and it worked pretty good. I only had enough time to do one side though. Its was about $7 a bottle. I have a lot of chips in mine. Looks like I'll have to do something more aggressive like sanding. I might try spraying them with automotive clear coat and then sand them down. That will fill in most of the chips, and I could add a touch of blue to give them a slight blue tint.....hmmmm

"Or, just use 'Plast X' from Meguires. Clears it right up."

...in your defense, we hadn't identified it yet as being fogged up plastic, but rather the supposed condensation.
but!.. you still shoulda known!

( j/k just giving you a hard time )
