What the hell is this?

Found this in the trunk when I got home from the dealer. Any of you gearheads know what the hell this is?

You add that to your car if there is a zombie apocalypse. Those extra pieces of plastic push them out of your way, and the other parts keep your brakes cool while doing that.

FYI, the paper in your picture tells you exactly what that all is...

If you decide to race on a track you replace the factory installed shields with the track set. It provides extra air flow to help with brake cooling.

Doesn't it explain everything on the instruction sheet?

From the owner's manual:

Quote:
Front Tire Deflectors, Lower Control Arm Deflectors, and Disc Splash Shields (SS Only)

Before any racing event, remove the tire deflectors in the front of the vehicle, and replace the original deflector and splash shield with the tall deflector and small splash
shield.

Race track driving with the original front disc brake splash shield and front tire deflector may result in brake pedal fade due to high rotor temperatures.

They are covers for suspension components UNDER THE CAR and are supposed to be installed by the dealer. I took mine back when I found them and they said they were supposed to be installed - took them about 15 minutes.

The black piece of plastic in the left of the picture (two of them) is what I am referring to - it is the EXACT parts I found in my trunk (along with the plastic pieces that go under the bumper). The service manager said they should have all been installed when they received the car, took it back, put it on the lift, and then brought it back out to me. The black piece is no longer in my trunk.

Are you saying the service manager put it up on the lift just for the heck of it? Little confused here....

Sorry the picture is upside down - I went down to the garage and found where they installed these parts. They are on the rear suspension - this is a shot from the back of the car.

This is a guy who doesn't ask the dealer about his car before signing the papers.... LOL

We are talking about the stuff on the paper sheet...can barely make out the part on the left.

Yes, the parts you are talking about should have been put on, but the parts on the paper sheet shown in the pic only go on for track use...
