My wife just bought the new 2014 Impala LTZ 2 and it has AMB lighting on all 4 doors and the dash. I want the dash part in my Camaro too...

I thought it would be in the 2011 because the electrical connections are there to hook up the LED's. I put the ABL across the dash myself and I love the way it looks. It's not a hard mod to do and it was well worth the time and effort to do it.

Here is a couple of pics of the ABL I put in, kind of hard to take a picture of it. The light is actually even all the way across. I love it except I tend to stare at it to much when driving.

I remember reading somewhere that the Camaro was originally slated to get a pushrod V6, but some of the Camaro Team members lobbied hard for the 304 horsepower V6 from the Cadillac CTS. In the end they won, but they were told that they had to remove the cost from somewhere else in the vehicle. So, they removed it from the interior. I always figured that was where the rest of our ambient lighting went.

Am I the only one who thought we would see the full ABL by now?
I saw it on a buick mini-van I passed one night and thought "sheesh, the mini van gets the cool ambient lighting across the dash - wtf, GM?"

What does it look like in the daylight? Meaning, can you see the light rope or tube. Looks cool at night and that just maybe the first mod I do after getting her home....

You can see it @ Dusk when it starts to get dark but not during a sunny/bright day. You can't see the door ABL when it's sunny/bright out either. The brightness of dash ABL is very close to the same brightness of the door panels.

Thanks, guys! I know it's a simple and trivial thing, but I like it.
