Is my 2010 Camaro 2SS totaled?

The accident took out my drivers side door, left front side fender, and part of my rear left side fender. The only airbags that deployed were the overhead left and right side skirt air bags. No glass was broken. Is it totaled? I have 142,000 miles on the vehicle. What are the chances it could be repaired? What is the success rate if selling a salvage title?
I have seen companies online whom will give you a check and tow your vehicle away. Those said companies repair deemed totaled, salvage vehicles and resell them to used car lots and car auctions. I would like to get it repaired if possible.

Even if they total it, you can "buy it back" by accepting a reduced settlement based on the remaining value of the vehicle. It will have a branded title at that point, and *some* insurance companies won't allow full coverage on it any longer, but others will.

If air bags deploy it will most likely be totaled. Like BehindBluel's said you can buy it back. Before you do that you should find out what the repair cost will be. Air bags can be expensive and difficult to replace.

Sorry to see this happen.

Good luck

The car is already paid off. I only carry liability insurance due to the age and miles of the vehicle. I guess the next step would be to have the car towed to a body shop to get a free estimate. I know some places that buy cars will tell you it's totaled. Just so they can scrap the parts from it.

first glad your ok and sorry about your car.
the simple answer is YES it is,especially with the high miles.
2 months ago my car had 27k on it when it got "totaled" my insurance company said i could buy it back for 4500 not a bad deal for the ls3 drive-train. they gave me 19500 for it,i didn't argue with them but in hindsight i should have negotiated for more money. i could have easily parted it out and got 10k+ out of it.with nothing to swap it in to and the plan-demic c19 i felt like selling the motor in a private sale could take some time so i let it go.

That is a very hard hit. What did you end up buying? And does anyone know which market places locally or online offer top dollar for totaled Camaros? I am looking at buying another Camaro 2011 2SS. I love the Camaro from 2010-2012 I added a lot of new parts to my car. I really want to pull them all out and sell the car for scrap on what remains. I had new motor mounts, engine seals all replaced. The engine doesn't even leak. The suspension and a couple of other parts are also new. I wonder what the trade in value would be in said condition. Maybe if I can get $4.5K to $5K for it? I wonder what the trade in value would be in said condition. That would give me some lead way to put some money down on another car. Maybe it's just wishful thinking. I hope I can turn a negative situation into a positive one.

If you could of kept the car and take their $19,500 you would off had nearly $30 in available funds to blow on the next Camaro. That's after selling all the vital parts.

With the year and mileage it’s most likely a total.

You have an L99

Automatic V8 = L99 w/6L80e
Manual V8 = LS3 w/TR6060

Also, the 8th character in the VIN tells you for certain. J=L99, W=LS3

The TR6060 is the manual transmission. All manuals were LS3's. L99 was automatic only in the 5th gen.

You have the L99.

This is why I insured my car with Grundy. Since it's not a daily driver, I insured it for a guaranteed payout of $28,000 if anything happens.

You don't have collision insurance.

Do you really want to spend $10,000 fixing this car?

This would only make sense if you are happy to keep it until it's worth zero. The risk is that you won't be happy with its condition after repair.
