MANNAXMAN is right on the money, a decent dealership will do it based on your word alone. Here's an excerpt from TSB 18-NA-355. If one isn't willing, find a dealer that will, and stick with them for your future needs.
I would get it done ASAP (in fact I did for mine), and no, you can't do it properly on your own. It requires a trans flush machine that will purge it completely, you'll leave a significant quantity of the old fluid in the trans without it.

I’m in the same boat, I got my 2017 Colorado Z71 done last year at 8,000 miles, no issues since. But the Camaro SS has less than 1,000 miles and shifts great so not sure if I plan to do anything right now.

My nearest GM dealer is Cadillac, my car is a '16 2SS with ~41K. Never had any issues with shudder but thought I would suck it up and do it. Was ready to pay for it myself as my car is modded and tuned. Nope, they covered it. Guess I got lucky. In my past dealings with GM dealers, I always got better service with Cadillac than Chevrolet. In fact I purchased it used at a Cadillac dealer.
The transmission does shift smoother since I got it done a couple of months ago.

I hope the A10's aren't prone to the shudder, time will tell. It was tough choosing between an m6 and a10 this go around, I've always had some issue in the few automatic muscle cars I've owned, minor or major, but the manuals have been damn near bullet proof to me. Sticking to the manuals while they last.
