When will the 6th gen ZL1 end ?

I have a 17 2ss vert and love this car. And now that I have driven it for a few months i know this is the car I will stay with forever. I know that I will eventually want a ZL1 for the extra HP. When do you guys think chevy will end the 6th gen ZL1. What I want to do is drive the ss until the last year of the 6th gen and then switch to a ZL1. Any opinions on when this might happen ? Thanks!!!

I figured it would probably be a secret. I'm hoping the run them through 2021-22. I want to order mine exactly how I will want it and hope they will have the 2ss package on them. I'm more into the luxury than the performance. Not that a ZL1 lacks in either. I just want to have all the bells and whistles I have on my 2ss. And that sinister look with the 650 HP. Maybe even more by the end of the run.

For some reference does anyone know what the longest run of a specific body type has been on the camaro ??

2nd generation was the longest running body type. 1970 to 1981.

11 years. That would be sweet. I would love to have 2025 ZL1. There is no telling how many more options and packages will come online by then. A new ZL1 with the auto electric high output back scratcher would been awesome !!!

I'm gonna say it'll go to the end of the 6th Gen. I don't see any reason why it shouldn't.

Im guessing 2022 as well. a couple months ago chevrolet CEO was quoted as saying electric and self driving cars are the future, and that by 2023 they will start rolling out over 20 new vehicles with electric drivetrains. one of the covered vehicles looked like it would be a camaro.

2ss package on the zl1..?

i thought zl1s basically have all the bells and whistles of the 1SS already....

what features exactly are you referring to in the 2ss that the zl1 doesnt already have?

As you mentioned, the ZL1 comes fully loaded - standard.

The ZL1 has all the stuff the 2SS has and can be optioned some stuff that isn't available on the 2SS. Like the PDR and other shit.

leather heated and cooled seats.
Heated leather steering wheel
I'm not fond of the alacra (?) steering wheel and seats.
