Since this is all about removing heat, I may put some heat shield tape on mine between the valve cover and the side/bottom of the reservoir, and on the bottom of the reservoir

Given that it's on the valve cover and a few inches from 300F headers, I had the idea that the reservoir fluid would be cooler if we insulated it. See pic. However, initial indications are that is not the case as temps now read a bit higher. We'll see.

Ceramic coating the headers should help considerably. Under hood temps are dramatically lower than with oem manifolds or with uncoated headers.

FYI to Canuck ZL1 owners. Just received my V2 FROM ADM. By the time it got here including shipping and custom fees it was just over $430CAD. Brutal, but worth it I think. Especially if you track her.

Completed the install last night. Really easy and straightforward. I too swapped out the back fitting to keep the OEM service port and also trimmed the hoses for a better fit. Filled with coolant and bled over 10/15 minutes.

So.... Drove it for the 1st time today. I gotta say that it really seems to pull harder now. Not sure if it's the plaseabo effect, but the torque under boost feels WAY stronger. Maybe not pulling timing? I have no real way to quantify. It feels as though I have another 70 or 80 ft/lbs.

Maybe just me, or I did actually have air in the system. Considering most of my miles are done on the track, I call this cheap karma knowing I'm getting all my ponies when requested.

Drove mine today for the first time after install. Yes, I was thinking the same. Definitely feels like it has more torque. Could just be like you said, it’s not pulling as much timing and/or there isn’t air in the lines. Mine definitely sucked down some more fluid after the swap.

I had version 1 on my 2017 for 10400 miles and it performed flawlessly and I expect this one to perform the same. This is available from LSA conversion store for the LT4. Here are a few pics...no cutting or huge mess to install.
Have you checked the temp of the fluid, SC, heads, etc. after a drive?

Get yourself an ibanks or similar gauge pod so you can see exactly what your car is doing. Monitor IAT, MAT, TIMING, BOOST etc.

This is how I have mine setup.

could you review on your lower Banks gauge with the IATs and MAT variants...explain what you know about where/if they are sensor readings or if any of those readings are calculated.

IAT1 is actual air temps entering the intake. Mine will fluctuate from actual ambient air temp to a few degrees above. Depends on how hot it is, and of course you need to be moving.

MAT temps are the most important. This is reading actual temps inside the blower. In my case, I am not using the breakout which relocates the sensor to the front of the 2650, I’m Using the sensor in the rear which is the combination TMAP sensor. CSP does this instead of using the breakout cable as they say gives a more accurate readout. This isn’t calculated, it’s actual temps.

IAT2 is calculated and there’s various debate whether it’s a calculated value from ECT/IAT 1 etc. either way it doesn’t make a difference as nothing uses that in the ecu as far as timing advance or retard. Depending on conditions it’s usually within 10 degrees of IAT1.

Installed on my ZLE today. As everyone has mentioned, it's super easy. Only takes a few minutes.

Well, I waited this long. I may wait and see if there is a sale on them again in the near future.
